MBAACC(Steam)- Game Stops responding after beginning credits

This was initially a discussion I started on Steam.

Hi, I have been having problems where the game just plays through the credits in the beginning and suddenly after showing "ECOLE SOFTWARE COOPERATION" it was a black screen then a small window pops up telling me the that the game stopped responding.

I have search through the discussion before hand trying out the solution of Verifying the game files, installing both K-lite and CCCP codec pack(probably shouldnt have installed both), installing Redist and even tried compatibility mode, but for some reason I still can't seem to get to the main menu.

Some extra info, the game launch in windowed mode and from what I understand my GPU driver is up-to-date.
I have DirectX 12 Up-to-date.
Run Windows 10

Here are some the Specs of my Microwave.
Intel Core i7-2600 3.40GHz
8 GB RAM
AMD RADEON HD 2600 Series

Hi. While I can't provide any official support as we have nothing to do with the Steam version apart from some small mods, I can make some suggestions.
After looking in that Steam thread, I think you should try installing DirectX 9.0c as Windows does not ship with it by default.
It should be located in the game folder under "_CommonRedist". If you can't find it, you can download either the Web Installer or the Redistributable below:

Web Installer: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... aspx?id=35
Redistributable: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downloa ... px?id=8109

Other than that, you could try renaming the MBAA_OP.mpeg file in the Movie folder to prevent it from playing and then press enter to go to the game menu.

By the way, would you happen to have ffdshow installed by any chance? The DirectShow filter prevents some games from playing videos back correctly resulting in a crash.
If it's installed, I suggest either uninstalling it or adding the MBAA.exe file to the White List for both ffdshow video and audio settings.
