Anyone else found the easter eggs?

Unread postby Hyperbeast » November 19th, 2006, 6:13 am

Yes, you read that right, the Tsukihime translation team decided to put in a few funny scenes for us.
Although I was told where to see them from a chance encounter on a site, I'm gonna be mean and just tell you that they're not found in the actual game.

So, anyone else found them? If not, I suggest you do. They're funny as hell.

And a slight spoiler for the second one...
What the hell does Arihiko say in that scene with Satsuki?

If I'm getting my shows right, the scene with Satsuki is a reference to Haruhi Suzumiya where a classmate walked in on the main character who was accidentally (yes, accidentally) in a compromising position with a girl. I don't remember all of what the classmate said, but I think the very last bit was something to the effect of "p-please take your time!" or "enjoy yourselves!". I think.

I have to say that Cat End was a nice touch.

Hey... That's kinda a weird coincedence, seeing as shortly after making that post I watched the show for the first time O.o

Hm... Yeah, that does make sense I guess.

I also guess that makes us the only two on these boards to have found them, other than the translation team of course.

I managed to run across the Christmas one (through cheating, of course; I was indeed too busy during Christmas with my family to play Tsukihime  - I went ahead and checked New Year's Eve too, to see if they'd pulled a Katamari Damacy on us, but no dice). Very cute, and good job to the staff for making us look extra hard :D

I haven't had any luck seeing the others, though... I know where they're supposed to be located, but I can't seem to trigger them... :/

OOC, is this a case where I have to finish all the game routes before the eggs are accessible (like Insani's release of The Caged Vagrant), or something of that nature?

Atleast for the line one, you have to complete all of the routes... I think. I actually heard about the easter eggs after I had beaten the game, so everything was unlocked for me. I'm not completely sure when they became unlocked though.

I ended up cheating and looking at the code to figure out how to get the line one. Got the other two naturally, though.

Both the Taniguchi and the Cat End ones had me in stitches

Actually theres a simple way. On the main screen just press the left/right arrow keys. Your mouse will automatically move to the location of the hidden easter egg choices.

I know that the staff one was mirrormoon, but was the line one originally there?

Eclipse is not an easter egg, it's the game's epilogue.

By your logic doesn't that mean the Christmas one is mirrormoon to? Isn't that part of the original game?

Does Kagetsu Tohya have any easter eggs besides the Bleached Underpants one? When you select genuflect it tells you "We love the maids, and so should you". It seems like a clue...

Wait, genuflect? Wasn't that from OMGWTFOTL?

OMGWTFOTL is a small visual novel, for those of you who don't know.

I bet it comes from there. That novel was.... unique. Short, but odd enough to leave me baffled.

And I haven't found any KT easter eggs T_T. I might just suck at finding them.

(and woot, 100th post!)
