yea, posting here is essentially the same as trading emails back and forth and probably more fun.

Yep, although the best one so far is the Code Geass R2 "leak" on TT. Of course it is bullshit but still.

lol Code Geass R2 DVD 'inside release' on TokyoToshokan?
A leak is when something is unofficially released prior to its official release date, generally by an insider. And Tokyo Toshokan is a torrent index site for anime/manga related torrents.
What kind of Chinese do you speak, biran?

I speak mandarin. It's received pronunciation of Chinese.
Cantonese is a dialect though it is very difficult to understand even for me
About the code geass r2, the first episode was showed on a exhibition or something on March 16th
here are some pictures:

Anyway, we can watch the first episode this Saturday

If you want to learn Chinese, you should learn Chinese pinyin first, just like learn hiragana and katakana before learning japanese

Just don't teach him any grammar and explain that stuff like 'u', 'ill', 'cuz' is a sign of illiteracy

yes, if you want to be his pen friend you can't go and say "u". do it properly

I order the club sandwich all the time, but I'm not even a member. Man, I don't know how I get away with it.

Basically, "cuz" "ill" are abbreviated forms of the words "because" and "I will (or I'll)"
These are definitely not the only words that get abbreviated, but this is mostly only done on the Internet and through text messaging to save time and/or because people are lazy.
It is usually frowned upon though, at least by most people.
You will also find that people who speak the language natively will use them more often than the people who speak (in this case) English as a second language, at least in my experience. This is probably due to the fact foreigners learn English mostly through school and not other sources, where these abbreviations come from.
The meaning of life is to give life meaning.

I came to Canada at 13 so I can read and write both Chinese and English quite well by now. As for "Cuz" and "ill", they are quite informal so you shouldn't worry about things like that. By the way, what's a pen friend? >_> friends on internet?
