Fight people over the 'net 'n' stuf'.

Uses the same code as the IaMP "caster" tool, modified to work with MBAC 1.03.
I make hamachi room for MBAC netplay.

Wait. You're telling me this is a netplay patch for AC?

You've made my day. Well, I bet it's still glitchy, but some connection is better than no connection.

It's real and it works really nice compared to the MBR one.

Tropsy, the coder, is constantly updating it to get it to work with everyone's computers, so it's best to link to http://www.meltybread.com/netplay (currently it's at Beta 2, or 2.09.10 :V)

i've set everything up, i just dont know how to get past the dos part. if i click 9 and enter, i go straight into battling ...whatever character i pick and it doesnt attack or anything, seeing as i have to pick their char ><
idk im confused.

Sounds like you're entering either two-player or training mode rather than Arcade or Story, so obviously the opponent isn't fighting back (unless you set it to fight back in Training Mode, which is an exercise in futility since both characters are completely invulnerable.).

it's netplay so what the netplay thing is trying to do is to make a two-player game with the inputs of two computers.
You have to link two computers by having a computer that will serve as a "host" and another that will connect to the "host" via its IP address

or something.

Pressing 9 only gets you into the debugging mode. It tests your network, ensuring that you can actually play it. At no point in time are you actually connected to another computer when you press 9 at the command screen.

To use netplay, you have to first find someone with MB:AC and netplay. Make sure that both your version of MB:AC and your opponent are updated to the latest version (i think it 1.03b or something). Decide which one of you is to be the host - the host has to provide the other party with his IP address. The host will press 1 (Wait for access) while the other guy will press 2 (Try access to UDP .7500), at which time he will have to input the host's IP address. Press enter, and if all goes well, it should work fine.

I think mauve's mbcaster is one of the better ones.

No waiting room or lobby, but it's pretty solid.
