I don't know what people find in the Nanaya version. Eh, I admit he's good and all, but he a little... uh, limited for my taste.

Although better at mind tricks than Tohno (wooh, powerhouse!), if he would've had a couple of more attacks he'd be even better.

Hmm...for me, I personally use Kohaku as my main character. Not as fast or as powerful as some of the other characters, but she has got to be my favorite character.

As for strongest, the only character I ever have trouble with (as Kohaku) is Shiki Tohno...I think I got too used to fighting Nanaya and Shiki Tohno just ruins the whole timing of my attacks.

Ciel though has got to be one of the strongest characters I've yet seen. Having trouble figuring out how to combo well with her and learning how to link moves, but I'll get it soon enough.

now that i am a melty blood veteran, here is my top 3:

akiha - i prefer the regular version...i like her normal attacks better. combos are easy to do and her specials do good damage

kohaku - the broom hits hard, and her specials are pretty strong...i use the sword special a lot. her arc drive is really funny and easy to connect with also

white len - comboing her ice attacks is freakin awesome. i think she is the strongest character if played properly. can do so much damage in a short amount of time...but the timing is hard to get off all the combos in succession

Oh yeah, Kohaku's arc drive is freaking hilarious >.> Thats the one that if you miss she crashes into the wall and hurts herself?
I prefer her last arc, just because it's like 'wtf?!'

Now that I've finally gotten around to playing Shiki a little bit, I definitely have to say that he is the best, although he does get his ass handed to him when going against Nanaya or V Akiha.

Best char for me is Ciel, her moves are easy to execute, and are so easy to chain, not to mention the damage is great as well. For the Comp controlled players, I have to say they use Chaos and Kokaku the best >.>

Faves are Kohaku, she's just so fun to play with =)

Ah Gawd...AI-controlled Nero is a freaking nightmare, when you get him up to high levels. I normally play as Tohno now, but I still hop around a little bit.

Well, Nanaya is pretty good, but he seems a bit over-used to me now

I still regard V. Akiha as essentially the ultimate character for rushing, since if you don't get a lot of damage in quickly, she'll get overwhelmed since she dosen't have that much health. I regard Mech-Hisui as a downgraded version of this 'rush' syndrome, because she takes more damage gradually, and once someone gets you in the bottom half or so, you can die really easily, while other characters like Chaos, Tohno or regular Akiha take less damage, which in my eyes is a severe detriment, although its pretty much the only thing that keeps Akiha or M-Hisui from totally dominating, since they have extremely high damage outputs.
And in case anybody asks, I still use Tohno, as he has crazy initiative, and frankly, everybody underestimates him for what damage he can really cause, since almost nobody in the Americas play him, since for some reason they regard him as some sort of impossible to use character, which is far from reality, at least from my perspective.

It isn't quite that different characters have different hitpoints (each one has 11400), but that each characters take a different amount of damage. Each character has 4 defense modifiers, each one corresponding to 25% of their health bar. So for example Akiha takes 92% damage when she has 100% health, and 85% damage when she is at 74% health.

Here's the most recent list of defense modifiers for MBAC PC.

Code: Select all
Character Name   (100%-75% life)   (75%-50% life)   (50%-25% life)   (25%-0% life)   Estimated Life

Top 3 (in order)

Ciel- The dash. And that 236c EX attack is perfect for like, anything. Thats all I need to say. Just wish she had more than one victory animation...god it's annoying, especially when it's seen so often.

Akiha- The way she can string combos on and on and on is just so fun. And she looks so cool when she does her C attacks that I can't help but choose her.

Nero- The only real disadvantage to him is his uber-tall height, and the fact that he looks (and acts) like someone out of Caprom vs Marvel. Just love his attack range.

Red arcuied,i make like 19 combo hits with her and cause 4300 damage and i win many fights perfectly with her.
Though i only managed to get to round 43 in the survival one, maxium points in survival were around 4200000.
Sometimes i do a 26 combo hit but that one is around 3400 damage becouse it's a little different.
The only thing i have changed in the option is that i play on full dificulty

I didn't mention but i didn't use any of my magic circuit when making a 19 combo with red arcuied that causes around 4300 damage.
But i did use magic circuit for my 26 combo that causes around 3600 damage

For me,

1. Nanaya
He can instant kill you in just seconds, hehe =_=
2. Ciel
Hmm, I think Ciel is the hardest to beat if you're a melee attacker...
I've reached 36 combo highest with her
3. Satsuki
I didn't saw anyone mention her, but she can give you full blows and counters
The annoying part of her is, she's somewhat slow...
Things won't get better if you kept in them to yourself... or...
Thing won't be better too much if you're saying it and people won't listen to you... even though you have no lies...

I don't like Kohaku, her broom is too good and the blade really gets onmy nerve.
But I personally use Nanaya or Chaos, I like 'em more but after i got AC I have given much more attention to White Len
