Backgrounds?

Unread postby Guest » May 2nd, 2006, 12:59 am

Hey there, been a fan of MBR for ages and I adore some of the backgrounds that this game has.

I was wondering if there was a way to extract the background images (there's an option in the menu to use static images so I'm clinging onto the hope there are usable images files in there somewhere) so I could use 'em as wallpapers. After much searching all I've found are threads about extracting music full of dead links and japanese techno-babble.

Anyone lend me a hand?
Cheers

Thats one of the first places I checked, but I can't find any downloads of the programs mentioned and the links in it are all well and truly deceased

Heres watchu gonna do-chu~
Extract susie and mbr in one folder. Then again extract the extracted mbr_susieplugins in the same folder as susie. Run susie and open the .p files. Extract the chosen files. Then you chu chu as you choose-chu. :P

You, my friend, are a legend...chu~

Cheers!

[Edit]
Hmm, now I can access all the backgrounds inside the files (data01.p mainly)... apart from my favorite one!
Anyone know where the night-time version (and day-time for that matter) of the stage 10 level (one of the two you can unlock by completing arcade mode) is contained?

It's because data01.p is from old melty blood. Re-act stuff is in the 00.p to 10.p files. The stages are sadly compressed and encoded like the character sprites, and since the format for the compression changed since melty blood, programs like splitdat are useless for re-act.

The stage files are in 02.p btw.
