If used properly shielding can be more useful than blocking, since it increases your heat guage and allows you to attack back faster. It's not necessary to shield to play the game, but if you play in arcades you'll notice that most of the better players know how to shield effectively.

Parrying or shielding is required to do characters' last arcs and as said above, allows you to counter attack instantly.

If you have ReACT you're not missing out on much. There's a couple new characters and a new move called Circuit Spart, but besides that Act Cadenza is pretty much exactly the same as ReACT.

That's not the problem. If a company even suggests new characters or units or the like for some game of theirs the fans will ask for either those things or the developers' blood :)

Take wc3 for example. The Tinker was supposed to be a april fools day joke, but peope bitched so hard that it's in the game now ^^

Hey, that's actually an interesting idea. Do you think that if enough people protested, French Bread would release a patch with all the extras in Act Cadenza?

I?d say no not all features, but perhaps the extra characters would be featured if there was enough bitching about it.

Why is that? I it just because of how much they feel giving away, or is it some kind of programing issue?

It's more or less a exclusivity issue. If they released everything on the arcade on the PC version, then there's little incentive for people to go down to the arcade and pop in a 100 Yen.

I wouldn't say that. Most of the people I see playing Act Cadenza never use Aoko or Kouma. The reason it's worth 100 yen to play in an arcade is that you get to play against other skilled players.

Also as a side note, some arcades let you play for 50 yen :)

Yeah. In most arcades I've been to, the most popular games are kinda old. People who have been playing them a long time are there to compete :)

It'll never happen as the new characters/features belong to Ecole and Ecole would never allow the PC version to gain those things.

No and yes.
Soft french probaly won't make it as a patch but another expansion pack(MB: "RE"act cadenza  ). But only if they will release one.
And Ecole's didnt own the character designs but Type-Moon.
(Aoko im sure)
Another thing features cannot be licensed. So have faith.

Actually parrying is pretty good if you have the upper hand on someone, Lets say a situation like so, Your winning against someone and you know their going to rush ya, All you have to do is put the parry right there when they get up and they'll most likely try to hit with a special or super move and the small pause you get when you parry you can use that to strike with something strong if your fast with the button command.
