How good is MB?
I've just going into VNs through F/SN so I was wondering how good the rest of Type-Moons VNs are. Any info or opinions on MB would be appreciated. Thanks.

You'll want to read Tsukihime before you read Melty Blood, seeing as Melty Blood is a sequel. It also uses some jokes from Kagetsu Tohya as well, but you can manage without reading that if you want.
As for the story itself, it's short and not very deep, but it has it's cool moments. A lot of the recurring cast is presented too deeply in their respective stereotypes so even with your knowledge of them they feel generic, but the new characters are designed and presented well. It wouldn't make a good novel, but it's the best storyline you'll find in a fighting game.

KATTO!
Actually there's a manga based on MB's story, and it's quite nice. =) But it did alter and add to the story a little, since it is quite lacking in the game.marus wrote:It wouldn't make a good novel, but it's the best storyline you'll find in a fighting game.
The instant I tear off your limbs, rip open your chest and pull out your intestines, biting into your neck as you ask for mercy, chewing through your eyes and spreading your brains on the ground like butter-------!
