Hi! New to the scene

Unread post by Bondai » April 27th, 2008, 8:44 am

So today my friend and I went to the arcade, and played the game known as Melty blood, and man we got hooked fast.. I remember seeing this being played on the PC and I was wondering how we could get it, get started and how we can do some net gaming!

If I were to download it, would I be able to do netplay at all? (thats a bad thing, right?)

If I were to buy it, Where would I get it?

Thanks!

You're able to play in an arcade and you'd rather go online? Shame on you! :D

Anyways, you can get the latest unofficial net patch here.

it's too costly to play at the arcade, buying the game on pc and getting some control pads/arcade sticks are a lot better imo

There's a thread with the installer to get you started:

I'm sure MB could be bought in most large asian games website (well, MB Act Cadenza at least)

MBAC and react are indeed playable online. No reason to play react anylonger though, but it's possible :3

If you are looking for mb communities I can suggest these:
http://www.meltyblood.se/ <- Europe melty blood site with forums etc.
http://www.meltybread.com/ <- People from all over the world, mostly americans what I know..

Links to latest netplay patch can be found on those forums as well.

I'm with you on the whole arcade thing. It was way to expensive to play the game at an arcade. I was paying $1 for one play. It is way cheaper to just buy the game.

I'd rather pay for the arcade than pay the electric bills...

Money spent on the electricity bills would be spent anyway, since it is highly likely that you would have been doing something else on the PC rather than playing MBAC (Energy bill from playing MBAC ==> Energy bill from watching Youtube videos or something). However, money spent on the Arcade machines can be spent elsewhere if you get a personal copy of MBAC (Money on arcade machine ==> om nom nom food).

When I play on the PC, I PLAY on the PC...and won't stop until I pass out. Well, that's just probably my case.

Err... Arcades cost a hell of a lot more than electric bills, as far as the "money:time played" ratio goes.

Yeah, that doesn't sound healthy or normal. Might want to get that checked.

I like playing a lot of games in the arcade even though I have it at home.

I mean, can you play online at home, and be able to stare you opponent in the face and give him that
.... *nod*....
face? xD

Unless you leave every single appliance on while you're home and turn them all off when you go out, the money spent at arcades wont be less than playing at home, but it's just a different experience when you play at the arcade

Nothin's stopping you from buying gamepads (or arcade sticks) and playing multiplayer on your console.

Although, yeah, the Arcade is a different atmosphere so the extra cost might be worth it just for that.
