Looks like the Gilgamesh mech is best suited for Windom Blackcomb, so I made one.
Compare it to Gilgamesh Vista.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but even if by some chance we did find a way to make custom mechs it wouldn't be legal unless we had the consent of the original game coder himself. And he is currently working on a commerical version of game so I doubt that's going to happen

That's true. Even though we're tweaking with the free version of the game.
I'll stick with just mods then. Is that ok? If not I'll delete the links right away.

Changing appearances of an existing mech is a new way to enjoy windom though ^^;

What your doing is fine at the moment, just messing around with the provided game files. The moment you make some totally new content then you will require the permission

Those only modify existing game files.

I took jezer's advice and playing around with the parts were fun. Here's what I made:

kd-08_2
Repented Black Selena (base: Linux Cymbidium)
http://ifile.it/7vz9sfw/repented_black_selena.rar

kd-08_3
The Grunt Queen (base: Linux Anthurium) <==It actually looks kinda like ms-98 on low graphics
http://ifile.it/8gmxwdf/the_grunt_queen.rar

kd-06_2
Y2K (base: Windom 2000 SP1)
http://ifile.it/in27bqm/y2k.rar <==not a virus, don't freak out

I thought Y2K came out very nicely so in celebration of its name I took the screen shot on texture -1.

@deadlylasers
Those are some insane mechs! And I meant that as a compliment.

BTW, while I'm working around mech parts, I found out some mech body parts/weapons not used by the game. I'll be putting those together to form a new model.

I wonder if this kind of modding is still applicable to "Ultimate Knight Windom XP"... :?

Does that mean my soundpack will still work with it? If so, I might have the temptation to continue my sound moding project :)
Ultimate Knight Project(s):
SFX: Gundam Overload V2.4
Pilot(s): Leo Stenbuck, Dingo Egret.

Customized sounds work, additional music in the "MyBGM" folder works, pilot add-ons old and new works. The trial (and I presume therefore the full version) works just like the freeware version in terms of the more traditional modding. Part-swapping mecha? I don't know. Ultimate Knight Windom is essentially Bootfighter Windom, but with different stages (and music) and some added bells and whistles. The best qualities of the trial version--aside from some different tweaking of the available three mecha, is the new stage and music. You could at least pluck what music you like, use it in BFW, and play BFW online.
