KD-05 Whistler Type-B WindomXP in survival mode

Unread postby ryujin » July 9th, 2008, 3:04 am

Okay, I'll go first

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The real duration of the video is 2:00, buffering 1/3 of the video is highly recommended. The black BG [Background] at the end of the video is for quality purposes, if it weren't for those, this video might be in poor quality.

Introduction:
This is me playing around with the KD-05 Whistler Type-B WindomXP in survival mode.
This is also a simple demonstration about the mecha's abilities.

here is the URL of the video:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=vztcc5nnjSQ (with annotations)

while the embedded video does not show annotations:

Title: Whistler Type-B - Armageddon

MS-98 vs. Whistler Type-B

Unread postby ryujin » July 13th, 2008, 10:45 am

Here's another...

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The real duration of the video is 2:28, buffering 1/3 of the video is highly recommended. The black BG [Background] at the end of the video is for quality purposes, if it weren't for those, this video might be in poor quality.

Introduction:
Most people might be wondering why the hell does the KD-03 Type MS-98 exists.
The seemingly weakest, slowest and most inefficient among the mech roster of Bootfighter. (And whatever negative traits you might want to throw at the little guy)

Personally, I think that the MS-98 was created for the purpose of "thrill." (If you ever get bored with the powerful mechs, why not try the MS-98?)
And I also think that this mech was created for skill improvement. (Piloting this mech requires a lot of skill and practice)

"MS-98 is for Ace pilots"
(Seeing powerful mechs get beaten by this little guy is just priceless)

Grenades aren't just for damage, they can also distract the enemy, allowing you to attack in a number of ways.

BGM: Waga Kokoro Mei Kagami Shisui - Saredoko no Tenohira (Te) wa Rekka no Gotoku

Mode: Online Competition Mode
Mecha: KD-03 Type MS-98
Pilot: Nao Yuuki
OCM Name: It's Nao or never
Stage: Black Rain

Enemy Mecha: KD-05 Whistler Type-B Windom XP
Level: Lv.10

I'm not yet an Ace pilot *sobs* but I'll try my best *eyes glittering with hope*

piloting MS-98 is just too difficult for me T_T :(

Black Comb vs. Black Selena

Unread postby mitsuki » July 19th, 2008, 6:05 am

since I don't know how to make a video, I asked onii-sama to help me...

I'll copy his format as well

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The real duration of the video is 1:47, buffering 1/3 of the video is highly recommended. The black BG [Background] at the end of the video is for quality purposes, if it weren't for those, this video might be in poor quality.

Introduction:
This is me playing one on one against an AI in [Online Competition Mode.]

I just love the beam reflect ability of the Black Comb :P

The real drawback of the Black Selena is the delay of its High Intensity Laser, once dodged, you could easily counter-attack it with your High Intensity Laser

If you noticed, I stood still in some parts of the video... well, onii-sama gave me a tip. He said that the weapon energy gauge will recover faster if you're standing still.

BGM: Tragedie

Mode: Online Competition Mode
Mecha: KD-07 Black Comb Windom
Pilot: Nagi Dai Artai
OCM Name: Tetsume
Stage: Black Rain

Enemy Mecha: KD-07-2 Black Selena Linux
Level: Lv.10

BlackSelena is really easy to take down with a BlackComb since they only use beam weapons (except for the beam saber but that only works close ranged)

Unread postby ryujin » July 22nd, 2008, 11:25 pm

@Gouki Shinkou

It looks like you're a Black Comber (Black Comb user) as well.

Why not post some of your videos? :)

so someone noticed >_>

i made em myself, or rather extracted em from Gundam Battle Assault II from PS1
(its the only gundam game i have so its a bit low quality PS1 sounds...)
Ill try to upload it later, still finalizing it/constantly changing :P
or if you want em, ill upload it as it is...

I find it quite impressive the way it is. If these aren't the finalised sounds, I wonder how much better your end ones would be.

I'd be grateful if you could upload the custom FXs for us, and also your final ones once decided, if it isn't too much trouble for you.

It's not really final since the sound quality is not very good, if i can find a copy of gundam/other japanese mecha games for the PS2 with better quality sounds i would update it...

Here's the sound effects btw, it would sound nice for some mechs but mebbe weird for others, thats because all of teh mechs use the same kind of sound files, no individual unique sounds.

and if you want the vegeta sounds, i uploaded it too, check the "listen to your favorite characters" thread...

It's been a while since you last used vista 8)
That 8-hit combo must have been hard to pull off @.@

From what I can tell, he was simply canceling the first hit repeatedly until the end, where the combo was allowed to finish normally. Assuming that's true, it doesn't seem all that difficult.

EDIT: Ah, there's the rub. It's easy in theory but a bit difficult in execution. Either that, or I've been away from Bootfighter for far too long. =(
