Another idea, for MAC users and Code Geass fans

Lancelot M.A.C. (Modified Air Cavalry)
The Lancelot with the Float system

Dashes by using the wheel things on it's legs.

Primary fire: Fires Varius rifle. fires a large laser round, the equivalent of a cannon shot. has a slow reload time and weak tracking to compensate for power.

Melee: Heat Blade. Stationary and forward attacks: attacks with the Heat Saber.
Melee+left or right: fires a Slash Harken from the left or right wrist respectively. draws enemies closer.
Melee+back: fires 2 Slash Harkens from the hips, knocks enemies away

Special 1: Ultra Slash: Fires all 4 Slash harkens and draws enemy in to melee range.
Special 2: Varius Overload: Fires a massive blast from the Varius rifle, disables primary weapon for length of cooldown.
Special 3: Sakuradite Bomb: Overcharges Generator to unleash a massive, devastating explosion of energy. depletes energy and weapon guage. Like Shadow the Hedgehog's "Chaos Blast". Has Limited Range

lol great idea, but isn't that abit too close to the actual knightmare? I think that would cause some copyright issues. Totally agree that more knightmare LIKE mechs would be ideal, I always digged the whole rolling on the ground thing.

the creator cant be sued for copyright unless he's gaining profit from it.
wouldnt this be like a fan game to the general Giant Fighting Robot genre? Fan games havent gartered that much heat from copyright suits in the past. Unless YSK wanted to eventually port this game for profit, I dont really see a problem.

but that's just knowledge based on what I know about copyright infringement

Heres an idea for another Mech
based on Metal Wolf (aka Michael Wilson) from Metal Wolf Chaos. see here http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3168548

Note: Metal Wolf carries weapons in the pods on his back, so he can change between a gatling gun and oversized rocket launcher without questions

Primary weapon: Gatling gun
Fires multiple rounds. slower Rate of fire than machine gun, but more powerful

Secondary weapon: Missile Punch*
Grabs a missile, then slams it into the enemy's face.

Special 1: Grenade launcher
Fires a grenade-like shot that explodes, knocking target away. Like regular grenade, but shot as a bullet instead of thrown

Special 2: Cross shaped Missile launcher
Fires a swarm of missiles from this special gun. like the missile launcher on the original Windom

Special 3: RRRIIICCCHHHAAARRRDDD!!!**
The pods on Metal wolf's back open up, revealing all his weapons, and fires them all at once.

*If you know what i'm talking, about you know just how awesome it is.

Yanno what would spice up the game a bit? Some Zoid-like animal Mechs. I know it probably won't happen, but it would be interesting. They pulled it off in the Gundam VS games, So it isn't impossible.

Well if they had to use a unit similar to a Knightmare frame, then I'd prefer the designer to make a weapon that implements the radiation system the Guren uses, both as an offensive weapon and a shield. I also like the idea of rolling when on land, it would make the mechs alot more mobile.

Oh yes! this series most certainly needs some hand-to-hand mecha combat! that would spice it up a bit :3

A Gurren Lagann-type would be interesting, but would probably be better off as a boss suit...

True, would love to see a hand to hand combat too, the Burining Finger would be nice to see too. Mabe a addition of Gundam 00 Exia's Sword and Gundam Wing's Gun Power would be nice.

Yanno, they should find a way to implement fighters into the game. OvZ did it, I actually used the Skygrasper alot in OvZ portable's mission mode.

A red Mech with long blonde hair, holds both a sword and Buster shot at the same time. cannot perform a flying boost dash.

Weapon1: Buster shot (1 press=1 small shot. Charge for bigger and more powerful shots)
Weapon2: Z-Saber (unlike other melee weapons, this one can charge for a powerful EN explosion)
Weapon3: Z-Saber flame uppercut (Launches enemy into air for a following combo.)
Weapon4: Z-Saber wave attack (Uses Saber to fling an explosive energy wave along the ground, follows terrain)
Weapon5: Buster shot beam (fires a short but powerful laser that can penetrate multiple targets.(can go through enemies))

Megaman X Windom
MMXWindom0

A blue mech with shiny armor. main weapon is an arm mounted buster. changes color to use different weapons. cannot perform a flying boost dash

Weapon1: Megabuster (fires 3 small rapid laser shots)
Weapon2: Megabuster powershot (fires a large, powerful shot with long cooldown)
Weapon3: Horming Torpedo (fires a small, homing missile with high tracking ability. turns armor grey)

How about a sort of, err, how to describe...

Something out of the norm from the usual metallic gunships with arms and legs that use guns and swords if they're feeling sassy.

What comes to mind is a weird mech. Either it having four arms (That would be cool~) Or the primary weapon that is used is basically a gigantic guitar? (For melee and short range)

How fun would it be striking out some mech with an enormous guitar then wailing on it to either push people away from your perimeter or to further damage the grounded mech?

Maybe something that, for a strong attack, have it spin like a wild top! Or throw a bunch of explosive flower pedals in some general direction!

Maybe they should also have a stealth oriented mech, with the ability to teleport and/or set traps that can be trigered when a mech gets within range? That would add a whole new element to things, don'cha think~?

Personally, I'd settle with another ship. Maybe a smaller destroyer. I mean, everybody knows fleet battles are a man's romace. 8)
