Some weapons have no effect on EX Gauge...

I noticed that not all weapons become more powerful or whatever on EX Gauge like the rail cannon
Some weapons live on longer when you charge them up with the EX Gauge like the trap laser of Windom XP

This kinda weakens some mechs tough

Yep, the funnels are another example. They stay out and fire several volleys.

Well, I think the point of it is that you can repeatedly fire the subweapons without having to deal with the cooldown time...It'll only cost a bar at minimum to do this, so I use the bars in the EX Gauge to spam multiple attacks from a subweapon, rather than using two or three bars for the boost of damage it gives.

Of course, you have to be careful not to drain your Weapon Energy Gauge while spamming like this, because if you don't have enough weapon energy the subweapon won't attack at full power, so you'll just waste a charge in the EX Gauge.
