Umm.. Anybody mind teaching me how to actually start a game through online?
I admit being a total n00b on this one...

Open Server.exe
Choose desired game mode (the "Mercury" "Jupiter" "Saturn" (etc.) thing is just the "room". Pick whichever, it doesn't matter) and confirm.
You should get a new window with a waiting status (should say 0/10).
Leave that window there, now open WindomXP.exe and select the last option in the title menu (i.e. netplay).
Where it says put IP, put in YOUR IP address (http://www.whatismyipaddress.com if you don't know your own IP).
Press DOWN ARROW (mouse does not work here)
Where it says username, put anything (this will be your screenname online).
Down arrow
Choose pilot, mecha, etc.
Down arrow, when "Login" is highlighted, press enter.
Choose a room (There should only be one available, it'll say 0/10, choose that one. The others will be closed unless you opened multiple server.exes)
Give your IP to whoever you want to play (i.e. post it here) and get them to do everything in the netplay thing (IP, username, etc).
When they join, you can play. Server will still run if the game itself is closed (so keep Server.exe open so some others can play =x).

Alright.. So if i wanna create a server i go to the ServerSetup.exe and enter my IP add.
But what if i wanna join?
Should i use MY IP add or THEIR IP add?
And must the Server.exe be left open?

Sorry.. Just remembered another question.
And is location REALLY that important? I know it might help... Or is what important is just connection speed?
As in.. Am i able to play with someone halfway around the world? If both of us can make the time? And we have a very good connection...
Considering that right now, i MIGHT be one of the few persons here who just got this game. XDDD

Let's see:
Last night I tried playing someone in West Coast (I'm East).
We both have LAN internet connections (5mbps+ for him, I have
mbps).
He hosted: My ping was 300+ms. Also, every 5 seconds it would say "Player2 has lost synchronization" "synchronization has been fixed" (Where Player2 was his long screen name) on my screen, and the same message on his screen for me losing sync.
When this happens, the game basically rewinds for a couple of seconds (which is annoying because it cancels the current attack, undos any damage done within a few seconds, etc.)
Conclusion? Play with someone in your immediate vicinity.
You can feel free to try though. These results are probably not atypical to all players.

Make our own thing
On the forums, we should just make our own little sections: west coast, mid-west, and east coast. We can do that on the forums, 0_0 the forum might have tons of pages later though. Anyways, I'm a west coast, but don't know how to set up the game.

My Server... EST Time
Until this next Monday, I will be hosting a Survival server as long as I can.
EST Time: (1:00-3:00p.m.) to (2:00-3:00a.m.)
I guess you could say it's more for evening players.
The IP is: 5.19.219.251
It runs in Delay Time 12, which completely destroys any lag. The backside you get is like 0.10 of a second less response from your controls, but is that really a backside?
Hope to see some you guys here.
