Credits - Romaji or real meaning

Unread postby Jinnai » May 23rd, 2009, 2:21 am

While translating Popotan I cam across the alias 生野菜 for their assistant programmer. It an alias as it translates perfectly to "Raw Vegetables".

My question is, should it be translated in the English version as "Nama Yasai" or "Raw Vegetables" for the name. I am leaning for the latter as a Japanese indivisual would realize the intended word for what it is, but an English speaker would not. However, unless they are foreign words translated into Japanese, standard practice is to display the romaji.
