I'm quite sure this is the reason it doesn't work. Anyone else tried this on 64-bit XP or Vista?

Please post the .PML file. Use rapidshare or something.

Well I did, but it did not work here eigther, however I do not have that UTSOUNDS.SFS sadly, so can't help. :(
I've just installed SP1 on my English Vista x64. The game works fine with the English patch.
I'm getting the PS2 version form a friend probably tomorrow, so I'll try then if that's ok with you.

It's embedded in this image, just rename it .rar, although I'm pretty sure you knew that.

Thanks for checking into it.

Oh what the friggin crap.
"The file 'logfile.pml' is must be opened using the 64-bit version of Process Monitor"
("is must"??)

Could you resave the log as XML + check "include stack traces" instead?

Indeed, odd. In any case...

I do hope I have been of use, though I also hope that a few thousand process events within a few seconds isn't too abnormal.

Darn eleven games are so expensive, I suppose I can always use swapdisk to get my PS2 past Sony's 'importing games is somehow morally wrong' block and just play the game next to the translated version while running the audio cable through my computers speakers. Not quite a quick fix, but...

Are you serious? Those are versions 1 and 2 of the patch, not patches for "parts 1 and 2" of the game, or "parts 1 and 2" of the patch, or anything like that. You don't need them.

Same problem here with Vista SP1 x64. :(

OK, here's a test version for 64 bit OS:es. It should fail just like before, but hopefully it will help me figure out what is wrong. For reference, here's how the logs look here:

I want to add some less significant information too.
When I run utaware without your voice soft it runs fine, but when I run it with your loader, it disables Vista Aero, which indicates, that something not officially supported also happens aside form the game halting.
The game installed itself to:

Code: Select all

G:\Program Files\Leaf\??????????????DVD??
Normally 32bit progs should be installed to

Code: Select all

Program Files (x86)
Running utaware-dvd.exe directly, works fine however...

Edit:
My game is installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Utawarerumono if it matters.

sleepcoder: In your first example, is there no error message box popping up? I'd expect a box with "Error: ResumeThread returned 3" to pop up. Also, does the log end there? (no "Loader quitting" afterwards?)

Anyway, try if this works better:
http://rapidshare.com/files/101321024/U ... 2.zip.html

Post log again if it doesn't work.

Sry I messed up copypasting. :)

Error: ResumeThread returned 3 does pops up, but the log includes:

Code: Select all

00000066	52.86681747	[5844] ResumeThread returned 3
So I thougt it's obvious...

OK, then I think I understand what's going on. Could you try the new version in the post above?

Hi guys, I don't know if this error was ever reported but I followed all the instructions on the patch installation and copied the utsound.sfs file over from the DVD but when I try to run the game through utaware-voice, I get an error msg saying:

Error: LoadAndCall (0xE1C2F3B3)

Can anyone help me?
