Aero isn't disabled in my Vista x86, so there must still be something weird in x64. Regardless, great work! :D

New version released. http://rapidshare.com/files/101358785/U ... 4.zip.html

Changed how the patch works to hopefully get less strange bugs on OS:es I can't test on.
I hope this should fix rhosangjins problems and sleepcoders Aero disappearing.

The Aero problem persists, it did not disappear.
Instead of the process utaware-dvd.exe, the other ( utaware-voice.exe ) shows up at windows task mamager.
You did a great work already, and that I honor. I do not ask for more, the game is fun this way too. :)
But if you want me to test newer and newer builds, I'll be here. It's not like I'm going to beat the game any time soon, I'm playin on hard3. :P

krfsm, you are so awesome. You took care of my problem just like that! I had asked on HongFire and this one individual there told me that I needed to reformat my freaking computer because it's my computer that has problems! Lol. Amazing work and thanks again~ Worked like magic.

Everything works fine now. It runs and properly closes it after I quit. I already said thanks, but here is the log for the successful run.

Got the Ltd Ed PS2 in the mail today. Seems to work fine with the patch (haven't tested extensively).

It occured to me, that when I debuged one of my programs also having problems with aero, i noticed that my Windows actually remembered, after a time that my prog is incompatible. Turned off aero, even if I fixed the problem and it never occured again in any other machine.
I'm telling you this, because that might be the case here too, but now I only have this one 64bit Vista under my hands to test...

Hey krfsm, any luck with figuring out how to implement battle voices?
Or maybe more importantly... Have you had a chance to beat the game yet :)

I think I'm going to take on Hard 2 difficulty this weekend... I didn't have much luck on Hard 3 :x

I am having the same issue as you and some of the other posters. I've tried to skip, I've tried in window vs full screen.. I just can't get past this line and I needs mah fix. >_>;

Image

Operating System: Windows XP Pro - Service Pack 2
CPU: Pentium D 3.2 Ghz
Video: nVidia GeForce 7200 GS
Memory: 3 GB
Patch Version: 1.1
Extras: Voice Patch v0.4

Taking a look at it, after a fresh re-install. It seems to be related to the voice patch and not necessarily the translation patch alone. Running the game with utaware-voice.exe will crash on that line. However, running the game with utaware-dvd.exe shows the line with garbage characters instead but does not crash.

Haven't had time to play for a while... I'm still somewhere after the last battle against Orikakan.
(It was kind of hilarious to see that the entire first Eruruu H scene is voiced. Apparently, changing the picture and removing ONE line of text was enough to get that through the PS2 censors... :))

Unfortunately, the battle voices probably won't happen. The scripts for the battle stuff turned out to be different enough between the PC and PS2 games that I'd have to manually insert every voice, and it's unlikely I'll ever bother to finish that.

Kamaji:
I note that you have have Visual Studio installed, can you use it? Knowing what address it crashes at and the register contents would help a lot. Also, a savegame close to that point would be nice.
And some random questions:
Does it crash at that point every time?
Do you have japanese language support installed in windows?
What font are you using? Does it crash the same way if you change fonts?

(Edit: LOL at whoever customized the user titles on this forum :))

What? What?

The first scene where Eruruu gets drunk. There is no actual H in that scene, however it approaches it. After thinking about it, I realized that there's no way the PS2 version would have the panting in the real H scenes.

Great to see mirror moon pick the best of the best for their translations projects.

Thank you for the voice patch. Since the majority of the game is voiced(even Hakuoro's thoughts are voiced) it makes the game very easy to play even if you can't read Japanese(AGTH works well here for looking up Kanji). All these alien katakana words are somewhat annoying so it helps to keep a vocabulary list. Though I'm sure using mirror moon's translation is preferable to most.

I've been keeping a log of the non-H scene areas where it isn't voiced by copying the text to a seperate file(very few instances).

The biggest area which was unvoiced so far was when Hakuoro visits Urutori's room for the first time after Urotori has to give up the baby Fumirir. Hakuoro goes to check on how she's coping and drinks tea with her. From when Hakuoro enters the room until the bell of the toy rings there's no voice.
from: ウルトリィ「すみません、お待たせしました」
until: ハクオロ「ん?」
湯飲みを差し出した反対の手に何かが触れる。

Edit: Nevermind, though having voice in between, it leads to an H-scene and so is probably not in the PS2 version.

Still in the middle of this playthrough. There aren't many non-voiced lines and it may be that there was no corresponding text on the PS2 version. I'll have to play it later to find out. I'm amazed at how accurate this voice patch is considering you didn't play test before release. Really quality work!

Now there's only one other game I wish had a voice patch. Suigetsu w/ the voices from the Dreamcast release. Awesome story even without voices. I have to doubt the voice cast is as amazing as Uta's though..

Ahh.. and a recommendation. If you liked Uta, get Duel Savior(+Justice). Battle type play, you can even use a controller to play it in the PC. Voiced as well.

When I try taking UTSOUND.SFS off my ps2 cd I get an error message saying "Cannot copy UTSOUND: Data error (cyclic redundancy check). I have no clue what this is, but I'm going to take a wild guess and assume that ps2 cd's come with high security on the discs? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Try a different computer/disc drive.

If it still doesn't work on a newer computer that you are certain possesses an undamaged disc drive, then your disc is what's wrong.

If it's failing the CRC check, it's likely a damaged disc. At least in my experience.

I usually prefer my protagonists unvoiced.
