can you tell me what that CG you unlock is?

Since they are the very last I think I can guess, but just want to be sure. Since I finished the game I don't think I gonna be utterly spoiled anyway, plus I think it's going to be very hard to find another 20 hours or so to replay anytime soon.

So ... pretty please :P

Actually, I'm pretty sure they're 2 Aruruu fanservice shots. I have a picture of her half-undressed in my Uta image folder, but I haven't seen it ingame yet. >.> Doubt it's from the all-ages PS2 version either.

Don't the Aruruw shots only get unlocked in the hardest difficulty?

You get the last cg after collecting all the titles. To see what titles you have, go to Battle Data and load a cleared game save (after you beat a game in Hard Mode).

You don't have to get them all at once, just all of them at least once. i.e. multiple saves can have different titles.

What scene is this?

On an odd note, after I beat the game on Hard Mode 1, I saw the pic of Aruruw and it said extra art unlocked, or some such. However, when I go to Omake->Art Appreciation, the last two boxes still have the funky pattern. I haven't played through a whole additional hard mode since (started working on hard 3 since I don't see any particular reason to do hard 2), but I did restart from one of my late saved games and it didn't show the pic or message like it did the first time after finishing. Anyone else seen this problem?

Also, would anyone like to provide some hints on what the battle titles are? Some seem fairly straightforward (Insignificant One, I suppose), but I don't even understand some of the persistent terminology is. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but I don't really have a clue what "divine power" is (special final combo?). They also make numerous references to "not pausing"; it seems totally infeasible to run an entire battle without using the standby command, but I can't really think what else that would mean.

One final question, it said something about titles being obtainable in any mode--I'm assuming that's any of the hard modes, since I don't recall getting an option even to save my battle data in normal mode. Or if I played it again would I see that option?

You don't get the option to save your battle data in normal mode.

As for the titles, below is a list with the title, the hint, and the scoring criteria.

The One Who Leads

Given to those who slug it out and fight to the end.
Game cleared. (500 points)

The One Who Unleashes
Given to those who lead the world to peace without pausing or using divine power.
Game cleared without retrying battles or using P/ECE. (1500 points)

Utawarerumono
Given to those recognized by the Great God Witsarnemitea.
unit(s) over level 51. (500 points per unit)

The One Who Rages
Given to those who excel, maximizing their strength without using divine power.
unit(s) with 99 Attack without using P/ECE. (50 points per unit)

Guardian
Given to those who excel, maximizing their bodies without using divine power.
unit(s) with 99 Defense without using P/ECE. (50 points per unit)

The One Under Divine Contract
Given to those who excel, maximizing their minds without using divine power.
unit(s) with 99 Magic Defense without using P/ECE. (50 points per unit)

Kunneyetai, The Faithful

Given to those who lead the world to peace by using their own strength, not their divine power within.
unit(s) clearing the game without using any bonus points. (200 points per unit)

Protector
Given to those who do not pause or use divine power and defeat 20 enemy units.
unit(s) defeated 20 enemy units without retrying battles or using P/ECE. (20 points per unit)

Infantry Commander
Given to those who do not pause or use divine power and defeat 50 enemy units.
unit(s) defeated 50 enemy units without retrying battles or using P/ECE. (50 points per unit)

Samurai General
Given to those who do not pause or use divine power and defeat 100 enemy units.
unit(s) defeated 100 enemy units without retrying battles or using P/ECE. (200 points per unit)

High Priest
Given to those who do not pause or use divine power and magically defeat 20 enemy units.
unit(s) magically defeated 20 enemy units without retrying battles or using P/ECE. (100 points per unit)

Warrior
Given to the victorious who freely use their techniques in perfect succession.
unit(s) with a 100% success rate on combos. (100 points per unit)

The Insignificant One
Given to the despicable who come to battle often and suffer.
unit(s) who have retreated over 50 times. (-50 points per unit)

The One Who Loiters
Given to those who are hooked on a dream and loiter on the same battlefield.
Battle retries are over 100. (-200 points)

The Supreme One
Given if everyone does not pause or use divine power and unlocks their own ultimate techniques.
Every unit maxed their techniques without retrying battles or using P/ECE. (500 points)

"Without pause" seems to be referring to retrying battles and "divine power" seems to be referring to using P/ECE (a handheld thing that lets you play a minigame to up your characters' levels).

I beat the game on hard 3, but hard 5 isn't unlocked, how come? 4 isn't unlocked either.

What do you get for beating hard 5? Extra CG? Scene? Nothing?

I don't think you get anything for beating Hard Mode 5. You unlock those extra modes by talking to Iwasaki Neko in the omake and choosing "challenge" or something like that. I forget the exact choice.

There's
About Utawarerumono
Play
Gift
Run Away

I've tried all the options...

Edit: Nevermind, I've got it, you just have to keep on bugging him and Gift. Since Hard 5 doesn't unlock anything, I'll just play Hard 1 to get the titles.

Just wanted to point out that you have to actually use everyone's ultimate technique once in the game. So maxing out the tech of a sub-character right before he parts permenantly doesn't count.

In hard mode 3 do you not get all the Cg's such as the Hentai shots and the scenes that occur in the game? I've gone through a chunk of the game so far and I haven't found anything yet. I didn't play normal or Hard 1 first, I just went right for Hard 3 XD.
