neither
it's .save file
or rather pair of files:

Code: Select all

0XXidx.save
0XX.save
where XX is save number (00-99).

.a files are archives
.v files are videos
.bak files are backups of original .a files (created while applying eng patch by installer)

I have them in the gamedir.
Hmm, try to search for hidden files too (it might be in local settings)
What OS you have?

I can't help much with vista, but I understand that it wont be in gamedir (cause of vista permission issues).
Try to search it, it must be elsewhere (in your local settings or something).

Just remove permissions. It makes everything simpler. Go to User Account Controls, and you can disable shit like that in there.

What about the record.save file? Is that part of our game save also?

Hi.
I played Uta on my XP Pro 86x PC, and I decided that I wanted to move the game and its saves to my lappie (Vista Business 86x)

From what I have read here, if Uta is installed on XP I would simply have to get to the installation directory and copy all the .save extension files (no UAC stuff to deal with) and paste these onto my Vista Business lappie.
The problem is...
I did exactly that... Ok, the save file is there, all good.
BUT
All the CGs and songs etc... are now locked on the Vista Uta, but they weren't on my XP Pro.

Is there a file that I am missing (or maybe a registry value), or maybe do something with UAC disabled and then delete some files on Vista first before pasting (etc etc...)?

Cheers in advance for any help provided ^_^*
