Shiki doesn't really have an alternate self that wants to kill him(not like Shirou at least) but basically a different facet of his persona trying to take over his mind. Unless you count that whole business with Roa....but I don't count that.

both main heroines are foreigners.

both games have a priest type character who throws black keys.

you could stretch a bit and say both have a big ancient guy with a whole lot of power who serves as a mid boss (nero in tsuki's near-side routes, berserker in fsn, fate scenario)

i don't think the melty blood counts, especially the expansions, but if it does both have a white haired loli with red eyes. :P

both have its main heroine turn evil at one point (arcueid when she loses control over her bloodlust/warcueid and dark saber)

Since we are talking about comparing two games, I say that you'd do well putting a spoiler sign in the title, just in case.
Anyway. As I've said in another thread, Sakura was pretty much based in Hisui and Kohaku. Just compare the characters. The same could be said about the twins and Fujino from KnK. In both series there is a loli that really creeps me out! Hmm... what else, what else?.... For now, that's all I can think of.
"I settled for that shriek. Those dull vacant eyes... oiled cabbage stench of her...! [...] You know what? I'm sorry if I'm not gonna do this the way you want me to or the way you might. But I will not make an angel out of someone who wasn't an angel...!" -Chief Tyrol, on his beloved wife.
Have you heard about the saying that goes something like "drunk people and kids tell no lies"? Well, that's just a fallacy.

both stories were written by the same author. :P
and thus concludes this thread with "food" references. :P

thus concludes the existence of bad ends in both stories. :P

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Tsukihime and F/SN take place in the same universe. And both work for the Church. So this isn't really a surprise.

This on the other hand is. Maybe in the nasuverse members of the Church are powered by curry. :D

Both have similar terms, like Reality Marble, Marble Phantasm, Noble Phantasm.

Both have a tragic chick (Caster & Sacchin)

Both main heroines are kind of clueless (Sort of)

Both main dudes had sex with at least half their harem.

Anymore?

-At one point during thier fight Shiki or Shirou tends to think that they may actually die in this fight only to survive in the end.

-Another one they are both in high school.

Both have some rich girl who lives in a large mansion near the edge of the city with two maids.
Both have some really smart and beautiful classmate who can use magic and teaches them throughout the game.
In both games, people DON'T die if they are killed.
Not to mention, in both games a bunch of civilians die and that is the reason the main character joins the fight.

Ok how about both are near death at a young age, but manage to live.

Both have one girl that give the main character a lewd dream for a reason no matter how strange it may be.

Both have an infamous saying. Shirou: When you're killed you die. Shiki: But I killed you how can you be alive? (or something like that.)

No wonder they're the vampires greatest foe.
are vampires afraid against sweets?
hint : there's at least one sweet tooth in the church, a complete opposite to the garlic lover kirei-san.

on topic : both main dude use bladed weaponry.
both main heroines have another psychotic admirer who wants to raep 'em.
all familiar church executors have had sex.
both games used meat references, hinting that the writer is some weird carnivore.
