But not all of their animes were crappy. I likd some of them, not most of them since I don't know that much, but some of them yeah! Besides, I thought that the other ones were liked by most people (in Japan).

Have you heard about the saying that goes something like "drunk people and kids tell no lies"? Well, that's just a fallacy.

GONZO had some stuff I liked back in the day--the original Full Metal Panic! (though probably in a good move, Fumoffu and TSR were given to KyoAni), Vandread, Hellsing, et al. I think the last thing of theirs I saw was NHK ni Youkoso, which was okay, but I generally don't know who did series that I didn't watch--so I probably have just skipped all their crap shows without even noticing they were GONZO's crap.

NHK was awesome (though credit goes 90% to manga), didn't notice it's theirs. They seem to have some other excellent titles as well, such as Kaleido Star and Last Exile (Peace Maker Kurogane was interesting to see as an anime adaptation as well though I wouldn't rank it very high among my favourites). Can't really see anything awesome after 2004 tho with the exception of NHK (I thought Pumpkin Scissors was fairly entertaining but doubt many have even seen it; Getsumen To Heiki Mina is pretty fun but only a marginal spinoff and doubt it's brought any notable cash flow to them). Can see why they're in the rags. I think the unfortunate thing is that they have very good technical quality but aren't putting it to very good use most of the time.

for teh xbox 360 there is a game called bullet witches you play as different woman with giant spell cannons that go around defeating supernatural enemies... strike witches are loli-mimis fighting giant supernatural warships with multiple weapons usually using artillary compatible with their magic..

i still can't get why people are crying about the war. don't like it? then don't go fight in it.

ok, maybe a very bad example, but stop expecting people to stay silent. when/if something sucks, people will voice their opinions, usually in hope those words will reach the culprit/guy responsible for sucking and make him change/improve his ways.

i never saw this animu, so i'm not commenting on it, just on the butthurt attitude some people take when something gets criticised. :o

I think you're off the point. This thread is to point out how exceptional the show is. It is in fact addressing a contemporary cultural topic rather than complaining about a sub-par anime.

Well, it's not that it's 'good' or 'bad'... just that it's... well... yeah.
