You don't have PS2?! Shame on you! Well, not really :P.

If you haven't already, play Tekken Tag Tournament. The gameplay is entirely 2D although the graphics are 3D.
Another good game to try would be King of Fighters.

BTW, they're both for PS2.

You might want to try Eternal Fighter Zero (Bad moon edition is the latest version/patch) or one of the Queen of Heart games too. All for PC.

Is it as good as guilty gear? (I love that game. 8) ) and they are both by sammy... Is it going to come out for Xbox cause the xbox controller is superior to the PS2 thumb destroying d-pad controller. by the way will this be a problem? It says this on both games im considering

guilty gear was created by arc systems
rumble fish was created by dimps but both published under sammy

it wont work on a europe or usa ps2 only japanese ps2 (unless its chipped)

its a very different game to guilty gear to be honest combo wise i would say its between darkstalkers and guitly gear x2 there many juggle combos but i just feel its a bit to limitied i would wait for the sequel (which should get a ps2 release not sure of the xbox though)the game play should be more refined by then

ohh something that might intrest you though arc systems is making a fist of the north star 2d fighting game hi res like guilty gear x i have seen a few screen shots and it looks awesome (its only in test at the arcade at the moment)

If you've never played SNK's Garou: Mark of the Wolves, you may want to check it out. It was probably the best game SNK ever released. I think they just released it as part of the NeoGeo Online Collection for the PS2 in Japan. Doubtful it will make it to the states though...

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is a broken piece of garbage with no balance and over the top infinite combos.

Capcom vs Snk 2 on the other hand is way better gameplay wise, combo wise, sprite wise and visual wise.

At least that's my personal opinion. :P

Ermm i think namco x capcom is a Rpg not a fighting game (though it does have a few fighting elements)

I cant get it to patch, i dont even know where to start...
I try to install the 1.20 patch, run the PatchSetup.exe, and it pops that thing up where i think it wants me to tell the install path.
So, i put it to D:\Games\Eternal Fighter Zero\EFZ_t where it is, and click OK.
Then it pops out an error message saying something bout \AKANE\AKANE.DAT, after that, another pops out, and then it crashes :/
Can anyone help ?
Sorry if my english is bad, i hope you can still understand it :P

Ciel should have wrote:Marvel vs Capcom 2 is afun and awsome game with tons of great charecters and fast paced action with some balancing issues.

 AHHH :!: Blasphemy! It is a ridiculosly fun game and because of the assist sytem it has near infinate possiblities and tons of fun and interesting charecters! Mis-balance is no excuse to call it garbage..... Capcom vs SNK on the other hand is slow boring and ugly.

That is just my opinon.
