Hey guys - just thought I'd share my final project for my animation class...I'm only a freshman in college and it's not perfect, but tell me what you guys think! =D

The simplicity of the video, the music and the art style really fits on what you were trying to convey. I say it's great.
Also, that music feels familiar. Ah yeah, it was the music played in the background of a certain macbook air ad.

con points? some parts of the animation were too "smooth" as compared to the rest of the parts of the video, but that's really really minor so...

relax. : )

lol - thanks for the feedback guys. =)

The song is 'New Soul' by Yael Naim.

The reason some parts were smoother than others is because I had limited time, so I drew more frames for the important parts and skipped frames during some of the other bits in order to save time. =)

Nice. The theme, animation and music went well with each other.

lol, that's really nice. thumbs up. :D

some frames of the animation are off, but it's minor anyways. unique idea, and the punchline fits just perfectly. alas, the music is good; it just fits really well.

how did you make it? what software? some technical stuff if you wouldn't mind explaining though. ;)

I did the whole thing in Flash and drew it all on a Wacom tablet. The majority of the movement was done using Flash's built in animation tools, but the complex stuff (like the explosions and all the animations for the guy) were done the old-fashioned way - frame by frame.

No paper was used for this project, because I was too lazy to run down to the studio to punch holes in animation paper. (A hole puncher that cuts animation paper holes costs $500 USD. No lie.)

I did each shot separately, exported them as .png image sequences, and then composited them together with the music using Final Cut Pro. =)

Hope that answers any questions. =D
