I checked the site not long ago, and damn is it dead.

The exhibition match of Suiseiseki + Souseiseki vs Fate + Nanoha didn't even get over 80 votes. I know it's not the real match and all, but I still think it's pretty low.

At least the nominations have three digit numbers.

as for you to know, there're no other type moon characters that will be able to participate in the match except the three f/sn heroines.
please don't flame me. look at the website yourself and see if what I'm talking is true or not.

Yeah, that's one of my main concerns - the turnout. However, since this league pretty much started out of nowhere, it is natural that the diehard Saimoe voters, especially those in Japan, Korea, and China, don't even know about this, hence Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore are using this to try to swing this league to their advantage despite it's USA roots. Also, since Saimoe season usually starts in July, it's natural that the voters you tend to see everyday are just taking an internet break.

Nonetheless, we still need some support, which is why I encourage spreading the word out to other communities, which I spend a quarter of my work doing.

Don't think I can, and I won't anyway. I assume this is a fansub group? Not a problem - Wannabe Fansubs is actually next on my advertising list, and they specialize in School Rumble. The thing is, I registered to give a reminder that it exists, just so that some who seem to forget about this thing come back for a little bit.

Long live my country!!

LOL, i never thought that Indonesian, or rather Southeast Asian Otaku community to have such influence.... I think I'm gonna quote you in some local forums... Anyway, you said it like our votes is somehow damaging other's need, can you be clearer on that??

EDIT: @minhtam2448: Are you from Philippines. I quoted you and post it at an Indonesian forum, and "Kinohara" -that's his username- said that he knew you from animesuki....

No, I'm pretty sure she is from Vietnam, that's a Vietnamese name, and usually a girl name.

I haven't really caught up with that you guys are saying, but so far I approve the poll result of this topic :P

Both of you are close. I'm male (although you're right on the "usually it's a girl's name") and I am Vietnamese. In fact, Vietnam's support is generally because I invited them over in one of the major Vietnamese forums.

The International Saimoe League has no official affiliation with AnimeSuki, but technically, I do. Discussion for me actually starting up ISML began at the Saimoe thread in AnimeSuki, and it developed into ISML just three months ago. Usually, I'm posting news over there if I'm not posting news over at the website, and they are generally the first to know what is going on. However, not all communities are connected with AnimeSuki, hence I needed to go out to other communities and expand on various situations.

Just re-nominate again... Since i read in the news that it's okay to do so...

Here's my vote:

1. Nishino Tsukasa - Ichigo 100%
2. Furukawa Nagisa - CLANNAD
3. Sairenji Haruna - "To-Love-Ru!"
4. Marina Ismail - Kidou Senshi Gundam 00
5. Tifa Lockheart - Final Fantasy Advent Children

First vote still fall to Tsukasa, but i decided to vote for Nagisa in the second slot... I thought she will pass the nomination for sure, but apparently not so sure. Sairenji Haruna is my current favorite manga chara, then Marina Ismail, i dunno why but i'm starting to like her, probably will be more than i like Lacus, Then Tifa in the 5th slot, if i could i would vote for Rinoa or Garnet, turn out they don't have anime, so the vote fell to my 3rd favorite FF chara.

@minhtam2448: How is Nagisa doing in the nomination? Is Nishino Tsukasa even close on making it? Is Sairenji Haruna eligible for nomination? To-Love-Ru! will start airing April 6th. Does Advent Children count as anime?

The current standings as it is is what I know, and it probably will be until I do a check on it. And since I also have college to deal with, it may not be until just before nominations close that I find out.

With a bunch of people in nomination land and only a week of nominations, anything can happen. Everybody has that equal chance, though some better than others.

I have a few To-Love-Ru characters in the nomination standings.

Advent Children isn't technically eligible, but characters such as Tifa Lockheart could get in because they were featured in a FF7 OVA.

Can general public see the standing for the nomination?? I can't seem to find it in the website...

Really Hope Tsukasa-chan can make it to the 1st round proper... It's all the anime fault, it sucks, barely reflect the quality of the manga. Wanna vote for Hiiragi Aika from Mx0 too... too bad it has no anime...

The general public can see the nomination standings as they are on the 20th. It's on the standings page. If the top 40 doesn't satisfy you, there's an excel file up for download that holds the standings of all 434 nominated characters.

Whoa... looks like Clannad will have a clean sweep of all main chara.... Kinda surprised not seeing Yukine among them though... instead Ryou is in the mix...

Sigh.... there goes my hope for Nishino Tsukasa... Well, gotta root for others when the contest begin. Looks like Ilya will have an early exit... but at least Saber will enter the fray...

I'm surprised to see Rei is not gonna join the competition... well, not that i'm a fan of her.... the only one in the top 40 but outside the top 17 that i wanna root for is only Fuyou Kaede and Yakumo, i really hope they made it... Also like Eve (=Konjiki no Yami) but things doesn't look good for her.

She's in the 7th spot... she's quite in a safe position i say... but sorry raitei, i don't think she'll go far in the competition, i think Rin will be the main contender from F/SN... she's the one stand out the most in the anime, and now UBW translation patch is just recently released... My prediction, most international voters (who is F/SN fans) would probably gunning for Rin... I'll surely vote for her... well, except if she's up against Nagisa, Hiiragi Tsukasa, Yuki Nagato, Shinku, Sanzen'in Nagi, Evangeline, Konoka, and.... Ugghh... i got a lot of chara i like... I'll have a hard time should any of the one i list above is pitted against each other...

Ilya's hope is really faint.... :(

6th spot, even when kyou and kotomi from clannad are taken into account.
as for her chance to stand in the poll, I guess... time will speak :)

sakura, of course. she's irresistably moe... :D :D
sorry disappoint you :P I wasn't referring to f/sn sakura, but tsubasa chronicle's sakura :D
@ saber's chance : "even it's a slim chance, I'll gamble my life on it!!" - syaoran from trc.

Hey, that's weird.... i didn't notice Tsubasa's Sakura because she's not in the contestant list, turn out the list missed 5 charas, the one ranked #31, #32, #37, #42, #46... Why is it jumpy?? F/SN's Sakura also not mention in the Contestants list...

Sakura... yeah she's cute... but not Tsubasa's Sakura though :D . I'm sticking with the all-time fave chara Kinomoto Sakura from CCS. Why did i forgot to mention her anyway?? It's funny because they are 'basic'ally the same people... they should garner much more votes should these charas are listed as one entrant
