Tactics ogre, heheh
Fire emblem is pretty good though.

Yggdra Union, where the graphic is excellent for a gameboy, and pretty strategical, but that's pretty much all that's good about it (plot is pretty mediocre).

By the same company is Riviera the promised land is a must; Get it for Gameboy or PSP. Audio is amazing in my opinion, fully voiced too (PSP only). Too bad it's an rpg.

There's always Battlemoonwars, which was made by the Werk, who also made Super robot series (or so my friend say) which I detest.
Explain why Shirou glides when usingKansho and Bakuya

There's also ff tactics Advance, which is pretty similar to its predecessor but is MUCH more repetitive.

Final Fantasy Tactics is definitely worthwhile, as the game goes on after the main story until doomsday, and you can develop your clan as long, or as exclusively as you want. If you haven't already played them, I would suggest all the Fire Emblem games (Sacred Stones and Fuuin no Tsurugi, the latter of which needs an English translation to play legibly :P).

There's also Luminous Arc, but that's pretty much a more limited version of FFT, but without any real choice in how you set up your characters beyond their equipment.
"They marched onwards, fire against earth, bodies piling ever higher for the whims of rival demons, content in their game. The masses never questioned their intent nor knew their masters, serving Hell more than Heaven in their madness. For madness went unchallenged here, and the great machine of many faces, skins, and thoughts continued to turn in silence."

arcainic is asking for games, not asking you to rate them.
Anyways, I did a little search, and Disgaea seems not bad; FF Tactics: War of Lions is out too. If you're not so into levels, a strategy game like advance wars can never hurt.

Yggdra Union is not really hard, but insanely unpredictable. Weapon triangles are to the level of extreme (compared to Fire emblem) and initial hits are completely unpredicable to the point that you can do 1/6 damage to 6/6 damage to an enemies under the same circumstances.
