XP-mode =/= compatibility modeThanatos wrote:didnt change compatibility
...I'm guessing you don't have 7 pro, or haven't kept up on Windows 7 news much?
Either way, since 99.99% of VNs aren't very technologically demanding, I would imagine you'd be able to run nearly any of them in XP-mode flawlessly if all else fails. For once Japan's behind-the-tech-curve PC industry is actually a boon for us!

Re: Fate/Stay Night on Windows 7 64bit?
i have a prob when i run the game on win 7 home premium[xp sp2 compatability mode][play in native without applocal with english patch]....specifically the intro movie starts but right before the screen flickers as though the pc resolution or theme is being changed....after intro movie the same thing occurs but after that all i get is black screen and to exit the game i have no choice but to ctrl+alt+del......cant think of a reason why...o..i can play normally if i skip the intro but i love watching it...anyone got a clue what to do?
Re: Fate/Stay Night on Windows 7 64bit?
iam running the game on native win7 ultimate 64bit. No problems. Maybe you should try to run the game fullscreen.
The flicker you see is windows disabling AERO(there is no AERO effect anymore right?). This happens with some older applikations. Windows disables AERO(for some kopatibility reasons). Seems something goes wrong when windows switches back to AERO.

@Memnarch
Thanks that seems to have done the trick[disabling compatability mode]...was always playing fullscreen to begin with......
i am going to check a few more times just incase it was a fluke though i don think so....
Interestingly i am actually playing this with additional patches including mirror moon eng patch[with voices], R/N patch, and also the uncen patch....so i just gotta check if one of them maybe corrupted or something too.....
anyways thanks

Re: Fate/Stay Night on Windows 7 64bit?
none of those patches should affect the game this way as long as the engine itself is untouched.
unce..uncesorepatch for the R/N patch?( can you tell me a bit more about it through pm?)

I know that there was mirror moon's patch where you could add the VA from the Relta Nua PS2 disk somehow, but for the uncensored patch I think that was fan-made and had nothing to do with mirror moon's work.
So the only thing that comes to mind is does it crash at the ero ero scenes, or is it crashing in general?
