Yes, definitely. There was plenty of GAR to go around.

*sigh* I hope as time progresses, UBW will make its way to Okinawa =p Although I found out that the FSN franchise anniversary is on Jan. 30...my b-day. Woot! I actually have something meaningful happen on my birthday, lols! I am definitely looking forward to seeing this one day! on a side note, I missed out on getting a copy of the PS2 Realta Nua game and Saber Lily collector's edition the other day. Didn't have enough yen then went back and it was gone *pouts* Oh well, it was a steal at roughly 50 bucks US so I figured it would disappear fast =p

On a side note, if anyone has any interest in figures, Figmas, Revoltechs and the like, I have a great used store I go to that has figures, DVDs and just about anything else you can imagine for pretty cheap. I'm all for promoting the Otaku culture =D and since I'm in the military, shipping back to the states isn't that bad, just pm me. =)

Oh, and the final scene with Rin and GARcher with the sunset was just pure awesome. That scene was already one of my most favorite out of anything, and the movie just made it even more so.

Does he have his epic smile where you realize he definitely is an older version of Shirou?

Oh it is SO epic, and the resemblance is much more noticeable. They really did a good job of aging him but still making it look like Shirou.

haha yea, I was really on the fence about it. I probably wouldn't have ended up going if it weren't for you and that trailer. Also leaving the www.fatestaynight.jp site open with the sound on for an hour or two really helped. XD

haha well, the thought had crossed my mind...

Honestly though, I don't really have a problem with people bootlegging movies like that. Only in one situation, however: where the video is only distributed to a country where the film company has no intent of hosting the movie in theaters. Think about it, if they aren't planning on showing the movie there anyways, it doesn't cost them anything. Now, if it reaches even a single person in a country where it is being shown, then thats a problem. Otherwise, its effectively free advertising for the company. I mean, people who watch bootlegs of foreign movies will almost always buy the movie when it comes out in their country (torrenters don't count since they wouldn't have bought the movie anyways). ALSO, by tracking how popular the bootleg becomes in that country they can more accurately decide whether or not to spend the resources on translating and releasing it there. The company is able to gain great value from this bootleg with negligible costs.

Of course, this all runs off the assumption that there is either: 1) a system in place that prevents the distribution of this video to countries where the film is being shown, or 2) that people would respect the system and the fact that the company is letting them see this movie enough to not abuse abuse it.

Unfortunately, that is a very unrealistic assumption. Though, I have hope for the 2nd.

Tell me one thing about the movie...How was Shirou vs. Gilgamesh?

The Shirou vs. Gilgamesh fight was definitely one of the best in the entire movie. Possibly the best. It didn't have as much background info infused in it like the VN, but thats understandable since in a movie the action really slows down when you have pauses to hear what one of the people is thinking. Definitely still very awesome though. By the end of the fight there are more swords sticking out of the ground/walls than there are in UBW.
