basically this is the movie trailer.

i despise the anime and studio deen who made it but the only time i am impress was the 1st trailer they made almost 4 years ago when they promoted the F/SN anime. i 1st thought why the hell they didn't made it more like the trailer than what it is now? hopefully since movie has higher production values they can make this movie as awesome as this trailer.

That's actually not too bad. And you're right, I remember the trailer for the F/SN anime being head and shoulders above the actual anime. Hopefully this means Studio Deen is capable of producing something that doesn't suck adamantine Berserker balls.

Now that's what it should have looked like in the beggining!
I wonder how will Gil be treated, though, because as I remember it Gil wasn't that developed in UBW.

Marvelous, I knew we'd have something great, and I'm not disappointed.

Funny thing to note though:

Oh man, that just looks freaking amazing, I can't wait. Here's hoping that trailer isn't just one big lie like the first one. January 23 won't come soon enough! Plus I'm going to be in Japan during that time, so I'll be seeing it that day no matter what!

You're right, it does look like that. Earlier in the trailer you can also see them in the church where the fight happens. I really hope this isn't just another trailer lie.

A few things I want: the awesome Emiya BGM and Gil in his armor when in UBW. I think I saw him in normal clothes in the trailer, but I can hope, right?

If they keep it authentic, we will not see Gil in armor. In my opinion, that's for the best, as he's way cooler in casual clothes.

Yes, Gil looks way cooler in his casuals.
And 'bout the Emiya BGM, its the best background music in F/SN, so it definitely has to be there.

On Topic: I really hope that they play some version of Emiya in the Emiya battle. It's just not the same without it.
But I shall forgive you. Some things are beautiful because they cannot be obtained.

Gilgamesh in his armor would be a problem, though, as there's no way Shirou could have beaten Gil if he'd been wearing his armor. Gil's armor covers more or less his entire body, and can stand up to several blows from Saber. Shirou won the fight because Gilgamesh didn't take him seriously until the very end, when it was too late.

I hope they keep Ever-Present Feeling in too. Song makes me cry, would be good for the scene with Rin and Shirou in the...cemetery?

Unfortunately, if they go the same way as the anime, they will have a whole new soundtrack completely different from the VN's. The only songs they will keep, for sure, are "Emiya" and maybe "Sword of promised Victory" just like in the anime. I hope they keep more, but I'll be happy as long as I get my 9999999th Emiya remix :D

Well, we shouldn't get our hopes too high about this movie. It would be 3 hours max length,so they are going to have to cut out lots of scenes that were present in the VN,and if too many are cut out it might seem like the story is proceed to fast, and it will lose its punch. If however, like me, people are gonna watch the movie only because of the action-packed fightin' scenes(which are probably the only scenes there),then its okay, but the storyline won't be nearly as good as in the VN.

That's a given, but all we have to do is enjoy the movie for what it is: finally a chance to see Archer's story animated :D

I'm guessing most of the cooking scenes and the home scenes won't be in. I'm thinking they also might not include scenes that were in the anime, like the fight at the school in the beginning, with Rin and Rider.

And I guess Emiya, rather than Ever Present Feeling, would be better.

Long time I don't see you lurk around here too, dude.

Anyway, maybe this will be like the KnK "movies" that are more like OVAs. If they do that, there won't be much reason for them to cut stuff away, only if it really is useless as a whole. Or did they already say that it will be a single movie 2/3 hours long?
