emulating it on PC does work albeit with 50-60% speed in a moderate pc...but u need to own the actual game AND a ps2 for it to be legal ( since u need ps2 bios for the emulator and getting the emulator in any way other than ripping it from ur own ps2 is considered warez )...so, i won't be talking about it any longer and walk on shady moral lines or whatever... :?

Oh... that's right... it will be considered warez if we don't get the bios from our own ps2... better edit my own post before msg come lurking... DX

Actually, on a core2 clocked at 2.67, I can already get 70-100% speed. 3.0 ghz would probably get full speed most of the time, if not, 3.2.

Anyway, while I suggest the PS3 overall, don't get it for playing imported PS2 games. PS3 and its games (while having the ability to do region lockouts) don't have region-locking, but it will still honor PS2 regions. As fate/uc is japanese, it won't boot. Not to mention that there's not very many PS3s on the market that do backwards compatibility, anymore.

O.o Did I just see Rider in her causual clothes?! ME WANT!

Edit: But why on PSP? I personally find it harder to do combos this way.

2 advantages of using the PSP:

*No need to worry about region locks,

*No need to worry about hardware (there's no equivalent to what happens if a PS3 owner bought his console after Sony took the PS2 compatibility out).

Plus, with the -2000 and -3000 models, you can hook your PSP to a TV and play the game on it, if you wanted to.

EDIT:

I really hope they add the normal Sakura while they are at it, too.

I dont know if i should be happy or sad...

...
.....

Im also gonna assume that since its for the PSP, which has lesser controls..

THey're gonna take out the EX shortcut ability, or rather we cannot map the EX to... (R2)
And you can use Command Spell, by pressin L + R together...

Actually, that's awesome o.o Cause if it's for the PSP, there's a high chance of being able to play it online one way or another... (Either through XLink, or some built in functionality) Unless they ditch multiplayer altogether >_>

Hmm..

What do you guys think?

Is it going to be a faithful PSP port from the PS2?

Or.. An enhanced copy of the Arcade version?... Meaning.. No Lily, Dark Saber, Lys, Zero Lancer

Yet another reason why I want a PSP and also why I hate the damned thing. They should have waited an put everything they were going to do with the game and put in on the PS2 version. I hate when PS2 games get ported to the PSP with more bonus stuff. It is like saying "You know that game you waited a while for and its awesome, well here it goes on a hand-held with more costumes and extras!". Makes me sad.

By the way, how is Zero Lancer as a playable character - and how balanced is he compared to the other characters who would have had some role in F/Z - like Saber, Kirei and Gilgamesh?

And how even is a matchup with Zero Lancer against 5th-Lancer, for that matter?

Zero Lancer is cool. He seems balanced in my opinion. I matched up Lancer and Zero Lancer on the highest the CPU could go in Watch mode and Lancer beat Zero Lancer more.

IMO.. Zero > Lancer when in terms of 'normal' attacks...

Zero's NPs are pretty much dull, damage-wise.. But to make up for that, it does alittle extra something to the enemy's parameters...
Like a poison effect, or drain mana effect.. But still.. its dull...
I mean.. How much can you poison/drain an enemy?? Its pretty much useless...

For a good Zero player, you need to mostly know how to use his 'normal skills'... They are easy to combo, execute, and not to mention his range ability is superb... THAT... AND you have to be an experienced player imho.. You need to know when to use the NPs at the right time.. and when NOT to execute them...

...

Lancer however.. Is perhaps one of the EASIEST character to pick up... (A close second to Shirou imho) His range and combo ability gives newbies something they can easilly grasp.
NPs does quite good damage, and chains easily... You can pretty much mash buttons/moves with a bit of knowledge on what they do, and you should do fine.

One downside of Lancer is that he requires 2 mana bars to execute NPs... Instead of the basic 1 bar... But he has an ability which lets him gain mana a tad faster temp.

..
....

My personal oppinion between Lancer & Zero..

Is that in terms of general 'strength'... Lancer would be the one which would be more powerful in battle... Plus.. Between these 2.. Lancer's moves seem to have more 'side attacks' compared to Zero... (meaning moves which cannot be evaded simply by sidestepping)

HOWEVER!...

Zero Lancer is much more powerful (MOST powerful perhaps) in terms of a battle without any NPs... He is a downright BULL!..
Unlike Lancer, Zero can pretty much charge forward to an enemy and almost always given priority of attack. Given his range.. This is something one should be careful of, or take advantage...

But as i've said before, his 'side attacks' are slightly lacking.

...

The biggest challenge for Zero, would be the player himself...
Because Zero's normal attacks are total epic, and NPs pretty much a huge flop... His main tactic is to prevent the opponent from unleashing THEIR NPs...
Forcing both players to fight without much use of NPs... Which would in turn give Zero an excellent advantage.

OH I discovered something with Saber. When you do her charge forward attack, I think its 236+A, B, or C, and say, Rin shoots a Gandr shot or someone uses a low energy spell, Saber will nullify it in her charge. I thought it was cool that they actually paid close enough attention to the characters in the game to include it.
