They're still available, though they're just as expensive as ever.
Heh, check this out: unopened Tsukibako. Comes with a shopping bag of some sort. Only costs 55000 yen (so far).
*sigh... I envy the person that actually bought it when it came out, for like 2500 yen or whatever it was.

thanks so much but heres one more silly question... which one is it lol. On the Tsukihimi link is it the one with the CD's? I know the link charging 60,000 yen is the game but as for the other links?

There's two versions of the game, the original one (Tsukihime), and a box set version (Tsukibako) that comes with Tsukihime , PLUS+DISK, and Kagetsu Tohya.
The top case in that pic is Tsukihime, the lower left is Kagetsu Tohya, and the lower right is PLUS-DISK. Doesn't seem like there's too many selling just Tsukihime right now, but anyways just try to find something that looks like that top CD. Then maybe get some help reading the page to make sure you're not gonna get ripped off.
Or you can buy Tsukibako, the uber Moon Box Set - it comes with Tsukihime, PLUS+DISK, and Kagetsu Tohya. Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya have an improved soundtrack, and PLUS+DISK has a few extra side stories.
Hope that helps ya.

You cannot even participate in a Yahoo Japan auction yourself. You will need an auctioning agent, such as Akibado

hey there, Im super excited about the game, but is there anywhere i can buy it from an English website that anyone knows of? Or is yahoo the only option?

Tsukihime's been out of print for a while, and it never really got much circulation in America anyway. Your best chance of finding it on an English site would be on an auction site like ebay, which I'd guess happens a few times a year. Like Message said you can use an auction agent like Akibado, which may let you browse yahoo japan in a somewhat English manner, depending on the agent.

don't buy the 60,000 yen versions if your gonna open them
] they're usually sealed and never opened and played before.
The tsukibako shouldn't be much higher then 30,000 yen for a mint version, although the prices are made higher a lot
hmm, next time I'm going to Japan for a while I'm thinking of offering help for people wanting to buy the game. A lot of gamestores have the tsukibako (or just Tsukihime) in very good conditions and lower prices then online usually. Its just impossible getting them without somebody being there.

haha I almost fell out of my chair thinking something crazy....does that price possibly translate to $250 dollars??

Ish: current yen rate according to xe.com
is approx 123 yen to the dollar, so 30,000 yen = 243.90 dollars.
Type-Moon is such an expensive hobby these days...

yes because it's for collectors, you don't just play it then throw it somewhere
