Tsukihime 2 or Tsukihime Remake?

Unread postby ggyytthh » August 20th, 2011, 9:23 am

I have recently been through some Tsukihime forums including the mirror moon ones and I have noticed that many people have said something like a Tsukihime 2 or a Tsukihime Remake? (note that I mean the two are different things, so Tsukihime 2 will be a sequel but Tsukihime Remake is just the original in better graphics)

Has any or both of them ever been released? I have found this: http://mirrormoon.org/projects/tsukihime_2
and another one mentioning a fools errand but I can't seem to find websites which say that the visual novel has finally come out... only the fact that it would be re-made or the sequel will come out soon.

The dates on those forums usually date from 2010 onwards but some even go back to 2008. Could someone please help me out?

Thanks!

Tsukihime 2 doesn't exist. It never existed, and it never will. Fool's Errand is a parody story released by mirror moon for april fools, under the false name Tsukihime 2. Tsukihime remake is a remake of Tsukihime, officially announced by TYPE-MOON. Not many details are known about it. It hasn't been released yet, nor is there any information on when it will.

My guess they are going to wait for the right time to even try and work on a Tsukihime remake. Besides if they do remake it it might be something along the line of how the Fate project was done in a senese.

If things go well we might be able to see a sacchin Route in our lifetime.

Im pretty sure that I saw something in a forum saying that there is a tsukihime 2: http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthrea ... ukihime-2.. (it's not that I want to download it so please don't get me wrong) and here right in mirror moon forums: http://mirrormoon.org/projects/tsukihime_2

Could someone please clear this up for me and how exactly do I use the fool's errand?

The Fools Errand is just download and install simple as that. Since the members of mirror moon made it there's no reason for a CD or anything. Besides if I had to hazard a guess that's probably what they are hosting on that site, but I won't say anything more since I just don't feel like naviagting though that site at all to confirm my theory.

Like I said, Tsukihime 2 never existed. It was referred to in Kagetsu Tohya as far as I recall, but the game was never created. The VN you're referring to as "Tsukihime 2" is actually called Fool's Errand, and it was released under a false name as an april fool's joke. I don't know how I can make it any clearer.

Well... thanks for clearing up things for me ^_^ but if it was mentioned in kagetsu tohya, then i sure do hope that they will make one in the near future. but i still don't understand why mirror moon was translation a tsukihime two... or is it actually a retranslation of the original visual novel?

Thanks once again!

....It was an April Fools joke. How can I make it any clearer? If you don't know what a joke is, then I suggest you google it because you need to learn.

There is no need to 'make it anymore clearer' my point is that this on mirror moon forums: http://mirrormoon.org/projects/tsukihime/fools_errand
if it were a joke, (I'm not saying that it is not) then what is the point in doing this: http://mirrormoon.org/projects/tsukihime_2

it also says in link two under the description of Tsukihime two: After the events of the first Tsukihime game, Shiki goes on a search for Arcueid, who has not returned from her sleep in castle Brunestud. His travels bring him to Europe, where he quickly gets caught up in a plot that threatens not only to destroy all the True Ancestors, but also to take all of humanity with it.

AFTER the events of Tsukihime which clearly says that it is some form of sequel and the description of it is different from fool's errand anyway

Erm... The point is that the "Tsukihime 2" page was the joke. FOR APRIL FOOLS. Dude, I explained it three times already!

1) Tsukihime 2 translation was announced and released on April 1st. The released 'patch' was actually Fool's Errand, under a false name.
2) On April 2nd the "Tsukihime 2" project page was removed from the site index and replaced by a proper Fool's Errand project page.
3) "Tsukihime 2" project page remained accessible through direct-link so that people could link to the joke after the page was removed.
