Translation patch and Tsukibako

Unread postby Nychi002 » May 11th, 2008, 5:10 pm

I apologize if this question has already been asked but I can't find any info on it. Does the translation patch work with the copy of Tsukihime that comes with Tsukibako? When I've tried installing Tsukihime from Tsukibako I can get the sound and text to come through but never any images. If I install just the Japanese version with no patch then the images will appear. So am I doing something wrong or is the translation patch not fully compatible with Tsukibako?

Did you install v1.2 first?

Suppose to install 1.1 then 1.2. Can't go straight to 1.2 yet, that's all i can think of.

Nope I did v1.1 first. This is when I first noticed the problem. I thought maybe v1.2 might help address this but that doesn't make sense seeing as how v1.2 was mainly grammerical fixes. So basically either nothing changed.

How big should the .sar file be? The one I have is only about 80,000 kb. If its to small that would account for the error (and also mean that I bought a bad copy of Tsukibako >_<)

arc.sar should be ~98.5 mb after installing v1.2. At least that's what mine is.

Yep that would mean that my arc.sar file is too small. >_< Well that explains that. Thanks everyone for all your help and input.

I haven't installed 1.2, but the point is, in 1.1, the sar file was ONLY copied from cd.
The translated images were in arc.nsa file (but since I don't have 1.2 installed I can't tell, message might up with editing .sar file with installer instead, even if there were no need). But the point is. If you have sar file and original game runs, patch should run too, unless the path inside the script was changed from original (which could also make the need for new .sar file, but again, there is no fucking need to do that.).
