Unread postPosted: May 10th, 2008, 2:33 pm
by replicated
Report your Tsukihime, Tsukihime Plus+Disc and Alliance of Illusionary Eyes bugs here. Both textual and game bugs are going to be in one thread because there shouldn't be that many technical problems anymore.

NOTE - Before you post a textual error, search this thread to see if it hasn't already been reported.

NOTE - Only report errors ONCE. Do NOT discuss other people's reports, nor our decision on whether or not to fix something.

For textual errors, please state:
- The scene (Day and route may help)
- The mistake (what's wrong)
- Sentences around it
- Possible correction
- The version of Tsukihime English, Tsukihime Plus+Disc English or Alliance of Illusionary Eyes English

For bugs, please state:
- The context. What did you do before it happened? Where in the game? What did you do after it happened?
- The problem. What exactly happened? Please describe in a clear way so that we can understand. Please describe in a detailed way so that we can reproduce the problem.
- The PC. What is your CPU, memory, videocard, operating system, DirectX and driver versions? What game edition (if applicable)?

Current versions:
Tsukihime English 1.2 [2008-05-10]
Tsukihime Plus+Disc English v1.2 [2008-08-18]
Alliance of Illusionary Eyes English v1.0 [2010-09-16]

Well, is it really worth it to update?
I mean, I am not really waiting to go through all the text again. Even if I can use ctrl.
Anyone having corrupted saves?

No corrupted saves but something does happen while loading a save you made on V1.1 after installing V1.2.

After installing the update I loaded a save file that I created at the start of day 8 on Hisui's route. The game showed the image stating the day and date but when I pushed enter to proceed I was suddenly set back to the point where Shiki has his dream right before the day ends. After skipping through the text and ending the scene the day switches normally and the game proceeds smoothly once again. I have tried this with multiple saves and all have the same result.

I wouldn't call this a bug since it does no harm other than giving a few people a scare when first encountered but I thought I should post it up just to let you all know that simply skipping through the scene will put you back where you originally saved.

I do have a problem but I don't really think its a bug. I installed Tsukihime via Tsukibako with both the v1.1 and v1.2 and while I can get the etx and sound to come in fine I can't get any of the images to come through. If anyone else who has a copy of Tsukibako is experiencing the same problem please let me know. Better yet how do I fix it? Otherwise I'll go back to using my original Tsukihime disk.

Bug:
- The context. Boot up the patch, try to install it.? It's in Progam Files/Tsukihime. I clicked okay and it closed.
- Clicked Next, checkmarked agree, selected the folder, got an error saying it could not fine Tsukihime English v1.1 in the specified directory. Though this IS my Tsukihime directory and I guarentee you I have 1.1.
- The PC. Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 4GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT (GeForce 8500 GT), You Have: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, 32-bit (Build Service Pack 16001), DirectX 10 and driver versions? v1.1.

You're using the wrong Tsukibako CD, probably you're pointing the installer to Kagetsu Tohya instead.

You're saying the installer closed after it gave the error that it cannot find v1.1? That would be very strange indeed. Either way, reinstall v1.1, then upgrade to v1.2 again.

um, I'm unclear on how to find out what day I'm on, but I'm near the end of Ahika's route.

Shiki and SHIKI are fighting and I just chose to listen to SHIKI.

"I still got lucky. If I hadn't of wiped that blood off my chest,"

Remove the word. First, it's not "would of" or "could of" it's "would HAVE" and "could HAVE." Um, sorry, pet peeve. But here there shouldn't be a "'ve" sound. "Hadn't wiped" works well; "hadn't have wiped" is awkward (and "hadn't of wiped" doesn't work at all).

Just a small handful of text things I ran across.

Day 7, morning:

* Akiha storms noisily out the lobby.
-- She's leaving the sitting room, so maybe "Akiha storms noisily out into the lobby." instead?

* Lunch has just began
-- Hasn't it just begun?

* will you be leaving tonight again, Shiki-sama?
-- This struck me as a little odd; perhaps "will you be leaving again tonight" (unless this was a deliberate dialogue choice)?

not sure of day, but on the Far Side routes:
* Senpai takes out an boxed lunch
-- a boxed lunch

This is in s93:
* Just a little more --- when there is barely one meter between us, the man finally seem to notice me.
-- seems to notice

Arc's true ending:
* But, a True Ancestor that has drank blood once cannot remain sane without doing it again.
-- has drunk blood

Day 12 night with Ciel:
* She gives an unbelievably serious, angry face.
-- she gives a look, or makes a face.

Day 7, Kohaku route:
You were not fully healed so your heart and mind was weak.
-- were weak; also, I suggest a comma after "healed".

Day 9, Kohaku:
* I love her to a point where I can't even imagine seeing her in pain.
-- two spaces between "her" and "in"

Kohaku eroscene:
* She looks impossibly cute as she mumbles something in response, fidgeting with the edge of her Kimono.
-- her kimono

Final day, Kohaku:
* " .... Yeah, even if everything was just a lie, I would still like the another, new Kohaku-san. Definitely."
-- Not gramatically correct... can't think of a fitting correction, though... -_-;

* like plucking a lily, without even any resplendent pain.
-- missing space after comma

Epilogue, Akiha's Distant Reed Warbler.

'Then she goes back to being being a doll once more'

Double being, if I am correct. The correction is obvious =)

text glitch?

when i run tsukihime, i can see pictures and hear sound, but theres no words
all i see are a lot of play buttons and text images around the screen

when i click on them, another one spawns in a different location
if i right click, the screen turns brighter and the buttons disappear but the story doesnt progress any farther

also as a side note i dont know what arc.sar in for the english patch so help with that would be lovely as well :D

For textual errors, please state:
- Hisui, Good Ending, Prologue (Dreams of Sunshine)
- Talking to Akiha: "Nothing, I just can't answer to your all your little scolding when my head's still dozy."

- Not sure of a possible correction, perhaps just, "Nothing, I just can't answer to all your little scolding..."
- Version 1.2

- Arcueid route, day 6 (?), Arcueid just killed one of The Dead for the first time and is explaining vampires to Shiki again.

- "They come up with such games because they think it's nothing. Even I can't understand how they think, nor do I intend do. But, if you ask who is at fault here, it's the weaker one, right?"

- Probably supposed to be "...do I intend to."

- Tsukihime v1.2

Kohaku route - day 7
"Akiha and Kohaku-san seemed to have reached an understanding, but i
haven't spoken with Akiha yet."
should be
"Hisui and Kohaku-san seemed to have reached an understanding, but i
haven't spoken with Akiha yet."

The following is what I've found for the PSP "port" that was created.

- Upon completion of ANY ending, after the credits roll and you either read or skip Ceil's lesson, the Title screen freezes.
I've run across this problem in each Arc True, Ceil True, and Ceil Good.
I've manipulated the gameplay to test Arc Good as well and the same result occurred.
In addition I've tested:
---Reloading the same game file, and returning to Title (still froze)
---Reloading a different game file and returning to Title (still froze)
---Reloading the same gamefile and completing it again (still froze)
---Reloading a different game file, saving, and returning to Title (still froze, and game is frozen on cold start-up)
- The game freezes upon completion of any storyline.
- PSP Phat

I tried to play Tsukihime v1.2 and it started like I had no save files. I had fully beaten the entire game before the patch and I installed the patch just to be up to date. But when I loaded it up to play, it was like I had never played the game before, even giving me the warning. I have no idea what would have caused it. I went back into the program folder to find a save file but I couldn't find them. Guess I have to play the game over again?
