Tsukihime on the DS

Some guy got bored and is now working on porting Tsukihime to the DS. Apparently he has done the hospital and Aoko scene so far, let's hope he finishes it.

Wow, that would be so cool if it was interactive and you would 'kill' things, like the bed or
a chair or...yourself :?

That is what I call a stupid person feeding a troll.

Interesting idea, seperating the text from the images. Wouldn't you end up getting confused who's talking, though, if you don't look up and down all the time? Although I've never played on a DS so I'm not sure how close the screens are together.

from that statement, i'm assuming he's trying to port it by brute force?
it would be better if the whole ONscripter engine was ported to the DS instead

then again, that's just easier said than done but that would be awesome if it is.

I played ハヤテのごとく!ボクがロミオでロミオがボクで on NDS (It's a kind of visual novel too) and it was fine, so I don't see a problem with that.

don't look up and down all the time

You have to do this every now and then when you play on DS, but it doesn't cause any inconveniences.

p.s. Would be so much better if he made a port of F/SN on DS, or some other game I've not completed yet. But then again, I somehow doubt he'll ever make a full-fledged port of Tsukihime, even if what's been shown so far isn't a hoax.

The screen is a bit small, but since the text's only on one screen it's tolerable. :)

He's writing his own engine that he'll later on feed with the onscripter's script apparently. Still needs sound and fixed saves, not to mention the portraits are horribly rescaled with white outlines and chunks not fixed, but hey, good start.

suuuuuure is a hoax and all.

also, seems I can`t post links before 2 posts, and I am faaaaar to lazy to post 2 more times, so just fix the link, shouldn`t be hard

Edit: I have enough posts to fix that now!

Is a DS compatible with mp3 encoding?
Or does it have it's own extension for sounds?

It's perfectly compatible with some sort of gba encoding, but it's pretty much like mp3. Gbs or something. At least my m3 card has those.

The new version rocks. Only the sometimes skipping music is a problem and sometimes the button press doesn't seem to register, otherwise it's almost perfect. I'd like a way to disable the "script name" comments when a new script's loaded though.

I thought Tsukihime DS was done. With sound too.

And heres the link http://digital-haze.net/vnds.php

Note: You MUST have a flashcart. And since MM doesn't support pirating, go use a NDS emulator.

I'd like a way to disable the "script name" comments when a new script's loaded though.

I keep that there for when people have a problem, its "it crashes on s532.scr", not "it crashes after you rape kohaku".

It's perfectly compatible with some sort of gba encoding, but it's pretty much like mp3. Gbs or something. At least my m3 card has those.

currently, its just using .wav files.

Note: You MUST have a flashcart. And since MM doesn't support pirating, go use a NDS emulator.

using a flashcart for a legitimate purpose such as homebrew isn`t pirating.
