Problem installing Tsukihime

Unread post by Vermis » January 15th, 2008, 9:39 pm

No patch, nothing like that, just every time I try to install Tsukihime it lets me pick a directory, and then after that just starts coming up with errors, finally ending on this one:

Any ideas?

Change your non-unicode programs settings to Japanese.

Start -> Control Panel -> Date, time, language and region settings -> Regional and language options -> Advanced -> Non-unicode programs language (change to Japanese)

Restart your computer (it is necessary), then it should work.

If your computer does not have East Asian Language Pack isntalled, you'll need to put your Windows XP CD into your DVD drive.

If you're running this under a Windows OS (I can't tell, since I don't skin my Windows anymore, hence I don't recognise if that's a theme or a different OS D:), you should either:
1. Manually change your system locale (and language settings) to Japan. This may require you to have your Windows CD as the files needed may not be on your computer already.
2. Use Microsoft Applocale to temporarily run the installer under Japanese settings.
