Re: Active Server Thread

Well, in defense of EPower51 here, the Server thread, to my knowledge, has posts of servers ranging back to a year ago that may very well not be working, and perhaps one or two for Ultimate Knight that may or may not be working. A lot of the posts just post the IPs and not the specifics listed. So, ...

Well, I was generalizing because I don't have it. I just have BFW and the trial version of UKW.

Well, unless Ultimate Knight officially became freeware, I'm sorry to say I wouldn't be able to assign specific pilots to mecha I've never even seen (aside from stilll images). I know I'd assign the magical girl pilot add-ons to magical (or otherwise) girl-esque mecha, assign more annoying or dues e...

Customized sounds work, additional music in the "MyBGM" folder works, pilot add-ons old and new works. The trial (and I presume therefore the full version) works just like the freeware version in terms of the more traditional modding. Part-swapping mecha? I don't know. Ultimate Knight Windom is esse...

I tried the trial version last night briefly, and played the rest of it today. Shinryu's the one to read though since he has the full version, and I'll give my two cents on it (quoting Shinryu's review here and there): Arcade Mode is pretty nice; it's a 2 on 2 battle, and the conditions for victory ...

Seems the price is more than $20.00 in U.S. currency; about as expensive as some 1/100 MG Gundam models (or cheaper GFF figures like #0006). Not sure if it's more expensive than some of the other arcade-esque Gundam games for multiple consoles... I guess I'll try the trial for now; it looks nice at ...

I tried that once or twice; some of the more traditional ground-based mecha battles that didn't involve arial combat (putting aside the Super Robot elements that sneaked its way into some real robot shows, ala the first real robot show, Mobile Suit Gundam). If you do want something like that, Mkilbr...

Slowdowns aside (and I don't think an outside system for online multiplayer would help that), BFW works fine for me without usage of yet another program of some kind. I don't need to get into the Wormhole server using Hamachi (or some other program), or most any other server I've been to, at that.

Logtaga beat me to the instructions of tinkering with generator ratio. Going past that, you can then fly to the top of the map as the added AI or your fellow players will, transform, fire bolts, try and get close but miss in their melee attacks, etc. I don't see how wrong the arcade-style of gaming ...

While I don't have the following, based on what I know I will--to the best of my ability--reply by comparing to "Gundam vs. Gundam" [ Wiki ] and other related Gundam arcade-esque games: 1. it doesn't have any upgrade options, or level up a mobile suit, or be able to win cash/gold in the game where y...

20$ can buy alot better games. I'm sorry, but I disagree. Yes, I can't impose and argue my taste against yours, but Bootfighter Windom XP SP-2 is a lot reminiscent (if not an intentional clone, and I believe it to be) of the recent "Gundam vs. ____" arcade games like "Renpou vs. ZAFT" and "Gundam v...

2)Move the script.ani and script.spt file from KD-07(or whatever you want) to another KD suit 3)Open the game and check out the difference Every mech has those files. Moving or copying those to another KD-__ folder showed no apparent difference to any given mecha/suit in the select screen, and afte...

The closest to sniping you'll ever get in a game like this is the Ant's through-building sniping with its big gun. Otherwise? In a game meant to be a generic version of the "Gundam vs. _____" arcade games, I think you're outta luck there. Besides, the sniper suggestion sounds much more for a first-p...

You'll have to either beg for an Exia clone for the full retail version of BFW that's being worked on, but I doubt we'll see it anytime soon given that the melee base of mecha are covered already even in the free version. I suggest a PSP and the newly-released "Gundam vs. Gundam" if you feel the nee...

Well, while there's a little more bells and whistles in so far as more (and improved) stages, a new generic take on the Hi-Nu Gundam, a new magical girl mech, and a new type of Mill, I think if they seriously smooth out gameplay somehow (maybe make the single-player gameplay much longer and make onl...

Not sure if I'd call Mill an anti-Blackcomb mech, but eh. Thing is, being grenade-reliant's pretty much the textbook thing to do from what I've seen of the people who play the grenadiers. Mill's grenades are much better that Mill-R's, so it was a good idea to stick to him and attack with those. Wel...

Well, though it didn't say much for my skill, I think Savkun once almost beat me with a Mill-R when I had a Mill. I was grenade-reliant and all my bullets were vaporized to hell when he tried attacking me from a ways away (but not long-range). The Mill-R isn't so bad if you're using it for appropria...

*sigh* Well, unless it's a one-time, very-cheap price, then my considerations for another mecha game would be: 1. The Japanese-only GameCube version of "Gundam vs. Z Gundam" (I have a GameCube). 2. "Renpou vs. ZAFT" or "Gundam vs. Gundam" for the PSP (I would need a PSP first). Or just not bother. B...

I don't have a server up, and I know I'm not Flippy or Yomanman, but the Wormhole server is down (which is unusual given how long it's been up) and the Twilight server seems to be the only one working. I just figured an update to people was necessary as I was one to play a lot online.

*wave* Hello. I'd say the Millenium, for me. Sometimes the -R version and I do go for other mechs, but primarily the Millenium is the most-powerful close-range grunt with its grenades ready to spread out at point-blank range, with a fair chance of contacting the opponent. And when your opponent is t...
